He was just a Fledditor. Living in a Lemmy woooorld.

  • Ty for grabbing the context for me. Yeah, I think it's also fair to say there are literally criminally conservative ideals in some of the student body based on the survey. Not enough to condem the entire student body, but I think their point is that those ideals already exist within Harvard, so the point of political repression/reprogramming is moot. At least, that's how I look at it.

  • This is a fascinating conversation to follow. The Nazi's absolutely were not left nor socialist, but there might be a history class difference. American hatred of socialism is soo deep and history textbooks are so useless (since most are made in Texas and cater to those politics) I remember a HUGE emphasis on Nazi being National Socialist and another example of why socialism never worked. It starts early here man. I think we're seeing a lot of the effects these days.

  • This is exactly why they complain about liberalism and just added another slimy definition. (Not left, but looks like people pointed that out already.)

  • You sure got a lot of downvotes for that one. Internet people like their colloquialisms.

  • TLDR: Lol, no.

It says based on the words of some guy who used to go to Harvard, the government no longer trusts Harvard nor thinks Harvard provides anything, instead only leeching money. It never gave any proof of it not currently trying to comply with laws and court decisions, as that would require the judicial branch or third party input/audits.

This is not the definition of fair. This is using a single customer review to force political teachings they want by withholding unrelated funds.

  • Bless up Lemming, I'll hit you up if things become desperate.

  • Deal. I stopped pledging "allegiance to the flag" over a decade ago when I realized this wasn't a nation with "liberty and justice for all". I'll also bring some trans baddie friends with me.

  • But like, could I come visit if I need to seek asylum? That would be different than tourism, right? I'm not really happy or comfortable with the situation here, nor have my efforts been able to change other people's views (e.g. make them think about consequences).

  • I'm considering paint spalltering within the hypothetical that the federal agents are aggresive and risking harm to others. People get hurt and killed with their "non-lethal" methods. I would gladly go to jail for a time if it saves a life.

  • In the same way I would advocate the crime of going over the speed limit while passing someone on a two lane highway, yes. I believe the American people have much to learn from French protests.

Edit: Or another crime example would be feeding homeless people. Just because it's a crime doesn't make it immoral.

  • Lol. Spend more time learning to read and you may come up with actually creative insults. I never said peaceful and I wasn't the person that mentioned boot licking earlier.

  • Resist police that are trying to forcefully stop a protest = terrorism. Nice math. Sounds like boot licking to me.

  • It turns out you can fill water baloons with instant mashed potatoes before adding the water. I'm sure some dye in there would be a nice finishing touch. Budget options are also good.

  • I love seeing these type of interactions on Lemmy.

For my two cents, this is the main thing I told every Trump supporter I talked with why I would never vote for him. Every other reason they had dumb counterarguments for, but not kids in cages. None of them liked the idea when it happened the first time. Now I have two things to ask them about.

    1. How they feel about kids in cages again?
    2. How do they like the economy they voted for?
  • I'm glad you remain reasonable. I almost downvoted out of principle, but this feels like the intended use for image AI.

  • It's a surprise tool that will help us later.

  • Ohh, I like that one.

  • CBS has litterally fired someone for "personal reasons" after she criticized Musk's Nazi salute on her Instagram. NBC is close to having me consider them a Nazi sympathizer; maybe they are terrified of defamation lawsuits enough to not say the truth out loud.
