  • Haha that just sounds like a list of gibberish words! I love tech naming when it doesn't include Copilot or a lowercase i :p

  • Met her once, instantly disliked her. I don't think I hid my distaste very well

  • I can't figure that out either haha

  • Rules will keep getting more stupid if everyone blindly follows them. Rules are written by humans, who make mistakes and change over time. Hopefully they consider changing the dress code, considering how society has evolved since it was written.

  • I still don't understand why it matters. Everyone in the call pays taxes and will die eventually, everyone in the call knows what a joke T-shirt is, and presumably they are all functioning adults who put aside their own quirks to pretend to be normal just like the rest of us. Them execs probably do some weird 50 shades stuff on the weekend.

It's probably because I'm a software dev, but my zoom call outfits/hair/background get zero of my attention. An interview, sure, but if I feel like my shirt affects my standing on the team at all then I've certainly lost faith in my performance and personality.

    Am I trippin?

  • Every IT woman I've worked with kicks ass and is really cool, doesn't realize how cool and inspiring they are. Until management, then I have no idea how they got there, they can't seem to use a computer let alone assist with IT related decision making.

  • I am constantly surprised by the variation between bottles, I thought it was just my perception!

  • Hashtag blessed

  • I'm half way through season 4, first time watching. Enterprise is one of my favorite shows of all time now, but Malcolm is one of my least favorite characters of any show 😁 I adore everyone else, he was just too angry for too long and the Mako subplot was unbelievable

  • My favorite memories included working with my dad in a similar way. Miss him a lot, glad he taught me so much and challenged me to develop new skills/strengths. Thanks for helping me remember that 🙂

  • In case we die, architecture in Helsinki

  • The embedded tooth really does it for me

  • Bunch of great points, thanks. Funny you mention Linus, I'm pretty sure he's done that a bunch. First thing that comes to mind is the "f*** you Nvidia" on stage 😂 in the grand scheme of things I just hope this blows over quickly, takes power away from all the ceos and companies involved. I don't see anyone benefitting from this in the short or long term, especially the users.

I really don't want WordPress to suffer, I feel like it's one of the last pillars standing against a bland sea of identical social media profiles. Given enough time, completely unchecked, I see WP Engine moving heavily towards enshitification like that, and I think Matt wants to avoid that too? 🙏

  • I completely agree that individuals have no responsibility to contribute, and thank you for your own contributions. But I completely disagree that a company like WP Engine should get a free pass. I see this as a paradox of tolerance and someone is willing to lose face and money over it. He didn't get to $400m by hording, he got there by creating and sharing WordPress and promoting a community that is supposed to lift us all up

  • This screams to me, thank you

  • No! All my for loops!!!

  • My cat didn't start walking around for months, it's a lot to take in at first, they'll take it slow

  • Oh interesting! I'll have to check it out, thanks 🧔‍♀️ some women's razors I've used in the past had a rather unpleasant glide strip that feels really slimy to me, but that may be a technological advantage haha

  • Good point, razor blades for thicker hair makes a discernable difference. Luckily, double edged safety razor and a steel handle make this category practically free now
