I agree, Mass Effect was/is gaming pop culture at one point. Almost every gamer I know has played or at least very familiar with ME. That number is maybe 1/4th for DA.
They knew with almost 100% certainty that they would be captured. The aid supplies were just enough to justify going to Gaza. If by chance they got through, so be it, some people got help. This is getting international attention and will hopefully ramp up the pressure for the home countries of these people to actually do something.

My 2 will usually act completely normal. However, if I haven't noticed it's dinnertime yet cause I'm watching a movie or something, they will bolt up to attention if I make a single movement. It's usually drastic enough that I'll get up and feed them.
