I do hair and used to work at a retirement facility. There was a retired Texas state trooper with Alzheimer's named Floyd who got a buzz cut every month. He was so out of it that every time I used the clippers on him he'd start swatting the air around his head and would swear, "Goddamn bees!"
From my perspective, it's taking a slur people like Kirk embrace and throws it back at them by labeling their alleged all-consuming love of Jesus as homosexual. It's a bit reductio ad absurdum - they label us sinners but they're the ones with a hard-on for Christ. I'm gay and I created the meme, btw. But I also enjoy really extreme, offensive humor (I'm just saying. Not trying to be confrontational)
