  • You can really tell how sheltered yanks are with this news.

This is pretty standard for Google maps. Names of locations change depending on what version of maps you use.

Google will use the official data from the government of whatever region it is, and the government Americans voted for changed the name.

  • And what lesson would that be? Because I've seen that line of thinking parroted a suspicious amount lately and I've seen one person actually explain what they mean.

    So enlighten me.

  • You were so worried looking at bed A you didn't think you'd be forced into bed B

  • I guess some people aren't ready to admit their mistakes.

  • I guess it's time for all the "protest voters" to either admit they never gave a shit about Palestine or admit they fell for Russian propaganda.

Of course that's if they remember about Palestine. A shiny red ball might have rolled past and distracted them.

  • Yes.

  • I know you're trying to do a bit. But you seem to have misunderstood my comment. so I'll explain.

It's the use of the word fuck but it's placement. It doesn't fit and makes the sentence rather awkward. Hence why I said it was written by an eleven year old discovering swearing and not understanding it.

  • They never gave a shit about Palestine. It was just another example of "The Issue" for them to base their entire personality around to pose online.

  • The swearing does make it seem like an eleven year old who doesn't understand swearing wrote it.

  • It's a good job misogynists aren't people. I might feel bad otherwise.

  • I know what you're trying to say. But if you genuinely think that allowing someone who will do more genocide is a viable protest. Then I have to question who you are as a person, and also how the hell you're able to use a computer.

  • One of my first experiences on Lemmy was a bunch of mens rights activists celebrating a women's tech job fair being overrun by men.

I'm not surprised that this is a problem. Lemmy's main demographic is the tech obsessed, that's always going to be filled with misogynistic neckbeards.

  • You think they actually gave a shit.

Palestine was just the latest version of "The Issue"

Someone they can make their entire personality to make themselves look good.

  • You guys wouldn't go out and vote. Why are you posing now?

  • The democrats tried to appeal to the people who actually vote.

  • Not voting is an action. An action that says, "either is fine"

  • I see you know your references well

  • If you think it's contained within one instance then you are the exact type of mark they are after.

  • You lot turned your attention to a McDonald's employee. This has nothing to do with corporate media and everything to do with the single minded bleeding heart leftists finding a new issue to base their entire personality on.
