The American people are caught in a pincer movement being executed by both political parties. We are being normalized to soldiers in the streets with machine guns, kicking peoples doors down and kidnapping them, murdering people in the streets. That’s just phase 1. Phase 2 is to use a disaster to expand ICE authority or simply change the name of the agency to something like “Federal Security Forces”, and give them authority to violate the rights of all citizens. The trajectory is obvious. They know uprisings are right around the corner and they cannot allow anything like the New Deal to happen again.
