Mostly a lurker. Abandoned Reddit before it was cool

  • That's a straight lie. ML will quickly ban you for pointing out Russian astroturfing and Russian propaganda, but they barely give a shit about anything else.

  • Depends on whether the person saying it is a fellow leftie or a rightwinger brainlet. To the first, it's what you described - an anti-Marxist communist. To the second group, anyone left of Nixon.

  • First, why do you even have a shorts feed? Get rid of that trash. Second, stop clicking on porn and it'll stop recommending you porn.

  • Aaah, that's hot

  • I guess you're her little pogchamp, now.

  • You're either a bot or completely clueless. Which is it?

  • No, no, no. A Witch must float like a duck.

  • "Can" and "should" are different things.

  • I clicked it... on purpose. Never Gonna Give You Up is such a banger

  • You quite literally could dump it into the ground (wire).

  • That would be the ideal world. There is plentiful research to show that eating vegetables is good for you. If you can't figure that little out, why are you a parent?

  • The term “critical thinking” alone is so worthless

No, it's not. There's a very specific definition - to think critically, i.e. to not accept any idea without first investigating it and analysing its merit. That's the absolute basis of all philosophy and science.

  • Fallacious reasoning.

  • Ooooh noeee, poor wittle guy. He's annoying that people correctly point out THE INSANE LEVEL OF MISERY MOST PEOPLE LIVE UNDER. How could you survive knowing that lots of people got actually murdered and thus can't survive.

  • Even the game theory analysis fails, as it doesn't consider a sufficient number of outcomes nor their branching over time.

  • It's thankfully based on pretty bad game theory. The reality of it is that there end up being more negative consequences to attacking other civilizations than either staying isolated or being friendly, and the proposition is riddled with antropocentric concepts to begin with. Sure, in smaller time scales it might be that alien civilizations would attack each other, but over longer times they would tend to form alliances.

  • Same. It's just fucking bizarre. Having said that, living by eating the corpses of other animals is also insanity, only to a smaller degree.
