Digital artist who infrequently can scrape enough energy to create stuff. I like to escape with art and draw cute anthros.

  • Thank you! I thought about what I'd be doing on a snowy night like this, and you better believe relaxing by the fireplace was at the top of that list.

  • Hey, I started adding stuff to the source file this afternoon. Currently my sketch is sitting in a recliner by the fireplace on the right side, just in case it takes me a few days or until next weekend to finish it. I also added a decoration too (a snowman cat), which I'll show a preview of now. When I finish, I'll send back an updated .xcf for you!

  • I see you got a bunch of chips there, that's great! You'll need that extra caloric intake to gain some muscle.

  • Avoid posting if an artist cannot be sourced. In this case however, I did do some digging and it appears the artist goes by jiangbao1500, where this appears to be the source.

EDIT: To the strange interaction on this comment. If you disagree with indie artists being credited when posting their art, do not post to this community.

  • If that's the desktop like I think it is, the mother will probably be far more disappointed with that desktop mess than any homework on the drive anyway.

  • You might find it laborious at first, but as you post, it will turn natural. It's not what I would ask of most, but to join a Mastodon location all about that act? It did disappoint a bit skimming local posts; it's fun to do this activity!

  • Bingo, saw an opportunity and had to jump on it.

  • A bit of a drag that a lot of local posts look so short and cut off—avoiding that fifth glyph isn't particularly difficult. I was hoping individuals willing to sign up to this community would find joy in writing out paragraphs about various things.

  • I'm not even sure why the criticism is so highly upvoted; it's literally a crude stickman comic. It feels on par with pointing out the distances between 100m and 50m appear shorter than 50m and 10m. The intent was purely the message, and that gets across perfectly fine.

  • The light is one thing, but it might actually be the hot that's doing the work here; some sneeze from horny too!

    1. Thanks, I'll just consider it as "send a submission by December 24th."
    2. I appreciate it, I also appreciate you using free software for the project! I largely use Krita, but I can always load up GIMP too. Dropbox isn't, especially with the AI data processing nonsense they do, but it is serviceable for a fully public project file download. I can offer to mirror the source file on something like catgirlsare.sexy, but that may cause confusion if there are other links you aren't in control of.
    3. I do a little, though obligatory IANAL here. CC-BY is very permissive and is basically the step above public domain (I.e. do whatever you want, but you have to attribute the artist or license holder(s). It's usually what I do if I choose to make completed art as a resource, but it's also good for something messy like this where it will have a lot of hands, and is easy to point to if anyone has questions. The initial thing I said is a more dubious personal licence you'd have to write up and give to all the contributors, which might be more trouble than it's worth for this sort of thing if you aren't familiar with stuff.

I imagine it is, I know the feeling! I'm glad you put yourself out there, I'll try my best to contribute to the event soon!

  • Ooh a collaborative project huh, sounds fun! A couple things I want to ask though. First, what is the time frame for this event? Second—as this is a collaborative project—would you consider publically providing the source file? I feel that having an updating source file would be best for making adjustments, especially for ones who choose to interact with the background on their drawing. Static PNGs could of course be included and appended too, and this post could have the image updated so it's clear what real estate is still available as others submit. Third, what do you intend the licensing to be for this image? Just want to make sure it's clear and something permissive before I participate. Either something like anyone who submits can do as they please with the image, or something like CC-BY where I list all involved artists each time would be cool too. Thanks for your time, the art, and the event!

  • "So, you want me to lie?"

  • "Be there or be square."

    Me: pictured above.

  • They also say, "if at first you don't succeed, try, try again." Let's just say, I'm not the last attempt. (⌐■_■)

  • Oh that's easy! If you eat it, and you die after, it's toxic.

  • I like the comic, though I can't say I relate. Maybe it's just because I mostly play single player stuff, but usually if a game interests me, I will laser focus on it and grind that thing into a fine paste. I'll complete every last thing, read wikis, and then the moment I've wrung the last bit of game out, I wait for the next game that catches my interest.

  • Glad I'm not the only one that gets tempted to buy random old hardware just to see what's on it. Often times data ends up being entirely uninteresting or wiped, but a ZipDisk drive was one of the few times I got to see some stuff laying around. It was mostly just some small bitmaps of drawn ladies, but also a number of journal entries from an older gentleman who originally had the drive too.
