  • Ladies and gentlemen, we're living in the age of happening, the nothing ever happeners are dead.

Same pattern as always, kneejerk reactions going "OH SHIT THIS IS IT", which is followed up by nothing happening.

This is true for both Qatar and Poland here.

  • The response is: "Please, and thank you!"

  • This isn't even an exaggeration, this is genuinely what some liberals think:

The main issue is if that boat radio'd anyone (since a large portion of the population is brainwashed), NK would know and the seals would effectively be dead since they were right next to a base.

It also doesn't remove the risk of them immediately contacting NK since if they don't speak up they would be punished by NK. NK is notoriously underfunded, I could see a patrol boat having men pass the time by diving for extra food since nothing had ever happened before on their patrols. They wouldn't be in uniform to dive and guns aren't waterproof, and the seals were rushing to get away after the gunfire so probably did a quick cursory check.

It would explain why the boat was there in the first place which seems more believable than notoriously impoverished civilians having diving gear to go diving into the ocean after midnight in restricted waters during the dead of winter. The NK actively "employs" it's citizens as lookouts and patrols, and with lack of funds they may very well have regular people on patrol with their boats. NK/China/Russia are known to have boats that pose as civilian crafts as a "navy" of fishing boats that harass others in the water while also avoiding detection.

Literally all those questions can be answered by "they were ordered/forced to patrol there, and decided to dive for shellfish due to hunger since nothing ever happens."

I put this 9 posts up the page and it had ended fairly amicably until I randomly got accused of being racist and people like you who wonder why I would discuss something people are unsure about. Someone asked a question, I answered with my reasoning and proceeded to get 5 different arguments shoved into my mouth.

Not from Reddit this time, but from a forum: https://knockout.chat/thread/75294

  • as an adult, i see absolutely no reason why i'm more qualified to buy energy drinks than anyone else.

The reason is cognitive development, especially before the age of 16, the same reason kids aren't tried as adults in a court of law.

plenty of kids can use energy drinks in a healthy way and plenty of adults can't.

The main reason people drink energy drinks in the first place is to stay awake longer, which is already unhealthy on its own. Usually this is tied to severe overwork or extreme study sessions, making it even more unhealthy.

  • Yeah but at the end of the day it's just a kid. He didn't choose to be born into wealth.

  • Fair game to go up and kill him then.

I mean, if you succeed, it means you're stronger.

  • Block-chain!

  • "Luigism" Mamma Mia!

  • This reminds me of the "Kim Jong Un is dead" rumors and I find it funny as fuck.

  • Come get some

  • Reasons and motives don't exist. Things only happen because there's a pre-ordained good and bad side.

  • Russian gains of territory are currently linear, not exponential.

Only when viewed over the last few months, but compared to 2023 and 2024 the amount of territory being captured per day has increased significantly, ever since Ukraine's Kursk incursion at least. Maybe not to exponential levels, but certainly not linear either.

and there's still 6000+km² of Donetsk for Russia to capture

And at a conservative estimate of 20 km² per day (which the Russians have often exceeded in the past year), that still takes less than a year to fully capture.

Most of this territory in the back is lacking industrial areas and fortifications, so it does not represent as much of a hurdle as the cities that Russia is currently surrounding. Russia currently has pockets developing around Pokrovsk and Kostyantinivka, and there are continual advances all across the front in the region. Despite the overhyped reports of Ukrainian counterattacks, they rarely manage to regain much territory, and most of this territory is recaptured a few weeks later. For example, they couldn't fully revert the breakthrough north of Pokrovsk either.

When Avdiivka and Ugledar fell, we saw a significant increase in the rate at which territory was being gained. I believe we'll see similar developments once Pokrovsk and Kostyantinivka are taken.

I see it as entirely feasible for Russia to fully capture the Donetsk region by the end of 2026 -- which is why Russia has demanded Ukraine withdraw from it.

  • At the same time, Moscow really hoped for confidentiality, because it would be difficult to explain to citizens the leaving of parts of new regions of Russia under foreign occupation . After all, they are already spelled out in the Constitution of the Russian Federation. But what kind of confidentiality is there in modern world politics? Are you kidding?

I find this incredibly hard to believe and I'm calling bullshit.
