  • Or "Hah!"

It's clear older edge-millinials were not consulted in the making of this meme.

  • I remember watching Mr. Robot and then learning they actually brought in a good consultant. Probably the first time I felt things seemed legit'ish.

  • Hah, this top comment is 100% AI:

Great article accept for the jab at capitalism. It's not going anywhere and if it does we are definitely screwed. Otherwise keep it up Greg!

  • I read his biography long ago. While it didn't pull punches, even then he seemed really promising and I left it with a good feeling, just flawed character traitsany people have. It was easy to believe those things true until negative sentiment was revealed and it clicked on what he must have been like during those times.

  • Yea, a lot of posts in this community are like this. They may be more prevelant (or challenging) in the autistic community, but are often just "the annoyances of life".

Note: I do think in your rationale is missing "lack of time" as a factor, though. Often applying oneself to purpose is not the individual's fault, they just don't have the time to be fulfilled.

  • Huh?

    Jump
  • Loops Engage earplugs have been wonderful for this.

  • homes did it backwards.

  • Only of it was made for TV. This is often a problem with theatrical releases because the audio is not retuned for home viewing.

  • Yea, running your own is definately the way to go. If you have Docker installed, you can run it on your local machine?

    docker pull docker.io/searxng/searxng:latest
    docker run -ti --rm --name searxng -p 8888:8080 -v "./searxng/config/:/etc/searxng/" -v "./searxng/data/:/var/cache/searxng/" docker.io/searxng/searxng:latest

That would run at http://localhost:8080/ and store all data and config persistent, and download the latest version (if needed) every time.

  • Consider a SearXNG instance. It can use Quant as a source, but balance across other engines to get the best results based on overlap (you choose the engines).

  • Factually, no, but it, and the headline, infers that the US is being it's usual uptight self. There's plenty of stuff to complain about without the spin.

  • At a random time, when nothing is happening, hand him a "paid talent release form".

If you look up "talent release form" it's what allows a creator to use materials with another person. As it stands now, he asked you to participate but did not have you sign a release (with no fee), so you own partial rights to income from that video.

Say to him: "Since you are a pretty big creator I assume you're familiar with releases. I grabbed a standard one to give you rights to my previously included videos, and here's another for any future videos including me for a 50% share. I'll sign them after you approve and sign unless you have a standard set you would like to use"

This makes it a business transaction, vs a "leave me alone". He won't want to figure out how to pay you, so he'll probably stop.

  • The reason it's confusing is the headline.

    • Soldiers ordered through third-parties because Bahrain law does not allow adult products
    • US navy intercepted during inspection, and wrote a letter to the sender informing them of what was occurring

So many things going wrong these days, but this one is spin.

  • US wrote the letter, but it's Bahrain law. The headline is a bit of a stretch.

  • This story is a stretch.

pornographic material, including sex toys, handcuffs and nudity magazines, are in “strict violation” of Bahrain law.

It has nothing to do with the US, other than Naval Command wrote the letter informing them that another country doesn't allow it.

  • Having grown up in the southern US, it can be indoctrinating. Especially in religious areas of which he is a part. Am I going to defend him? No, he made his choices. Am I happy he's willing to go speak in front of congress? Yes.

  • “Why did you vote for him?” a member of Congress asked.

“Because I was an idiot,” the veteran replied.

This was him speaking to congress, seems he learned.

  • So? This isn't the news community.
