  • "I'm not queerphobic, I'm just a plain and simple tailor..."

  • No, this happened in 2024.

  • That's what I'm suggesting. Did they even look up how to do it?

Of course, they could have used a public library computer or something.

  • No matter how he dies, there will be a contingent insisting he isn't actually dead.

Some of those insane QAnon people think JFK is still alive. Not JFK, Jr. JFK. Who was born in 1917.

  • People, Americans anyway, are very good at doing what the TV tells them to do, which always makes me wonder how often doctors are plagued with patients saying, "Doctor, is Phabulux right for me?" Completely out of the blue and unrelated to whatever they're at the doctor about.

  • I have no real comment on the aggressiveness of pitbulls. I have a dog we think is a dalmatian/pitbull mix and she's terrified of pretty much any humans other than us and a handful of others (she is especially afraid of men), which might look like aggression from a distance, but she would run away the second they got closer to her.

On the other hand, she's a serial killer of small animals and she recently got in a fight with our other dog (she's 11 and grumpy and in pain from bad arthritis) and tore his ear. So she certainly can be aggressive.

On the other other hand, we used to have a roommate with a purebred dalmation and she was super aggressive.

So is the aggression she does show because of the pitbull part of the mix? The dalmatian part? Is it just her? I have no idea.

I do know I found a dog at the shelter who needed a loving home and I gave it to her. Which is the only way anyone should get a dog at this point.

  • I knew I was into girls when I was five. I didn't know what heterosexuality (or any other sexuality) was, but I knew girls made me feel a way that boys didn't. And when I did learn that there were boys who felt that way about boys like I did about girls, it was about my much older brother's college roommate and eventual best friend, who is gay. I think maybe I was seven.

    Somehow it didn't destroy me.

  • I have seen similar arguments from people like this again and again. "You're driving people to the right with your left-wing ideas!"

    What?

  • You're literally saying it on this forum.

  • No /s to the first part in my opinion. Trolls used to put effort into it. So few of them do these days.

  • Me. They're including me.

  • I don't know. They always put it in the pharmaceutical commercials that are only legal in the U.S. and New Zealand.

  • Militaries test their readiness? You're shitting me.

  • "Waiting" should have been left in the meme. It would be even funnier.

  • And this makes me wonder if Greg Abbott is trying to get someone for discriminating against him being in a wheelchair.

    Because it's always different then.

  • The WSB campaign to save it made no sense to me. So many better companies have gone under.

  • That is a very poor argument. Non-profit organizations lie about their statistics and their so-called facts all the time.

PETA is non-profit. Autism Speaks is non-profit. Anti-vax groups are non-profit. All sorts of groups dedicated to promoting authoritarian regimes are non-profit. And they all push a lot of bullshit that they claim to be facts and statistics.

  • Dogs should stop being bred for certain features period. Beyond aggressiveness, it's just cruel. It gives them years of health problems. Some of the breeds all have the exact same health problem (sometimes it's an inability to breathe properly because of their head shape).

Purebred dogs should be illegal to intentionally breed.

I'm only mildly infuriated by this because I've only been here a couple of weeks and am on a lower floor. Whoever put up this sign, on the other hand...
