  • It is a video of an Australian citizen being stabbed to death and they are doing it because they dont want the video to encourage other psychos to do the same thing.

I just want to recontextualize it because free speech warriors have a tendency to disambiguate the thing they are talking about.

  • I unironically think I respect them more than you do. If I had to chose between a uninterested moron and whatever smug energy you have, I would go with the moron.

  • You are literally one of those guys. All your replies in this thread is you being that guy.

  • I described a behaviour and two qualities. I said that people with the behaviour often have these two qualities. I then said I dont respect people with that behaviour.

There are a lot if people that are stupid but still fun and interesting people. They have skills that I don't have and perspectives that I don't have. They have found ways to interact with the world that works with their shortcomings. I respect them.

Some stupid people decide to hide their stupidity by spending a lot of time arguing that they shouldn't have to elaborate on their opinion and we should treat all opinions the same without scrutiny. They dont grow, they dont learn, they make their own shortcomings other peoples problem. I dont respect them.

  • I also dont respect people that start comments with a joker laugh.

  • People that spend energy on arguing their right to have opinions rather than defending the opinion are deeply uninteresting and often stupid people that I don't not respect in any capacity.

  • Yes, I am deciding who deserves sympathy. School shooters is not in that group.

The "oh he was a tortured soul, if only someone had seen him" schtick makes the narcissistic little fuckers rock hard.

You dont give serial killers cool names and you dont give school shooters any attention outside of being sad losers. That is the responsible thing to do.

  • I have gallons of empathy for people that are bullied. That all goes away when they murder people. Lots of kids get brutally bullied and they don't murder anyone. Murder is not a natural reaction to being bullied.

Empathy is Especially not deserved here where the "kid" is fucking 18 and wrote about attacking a middle school.

  • If this kid turns out to be bullied, it has the same relevance as him playing call of duty. There are literally millions of bullied kids in the world and only some of them shoot up a school.

When columbine happened the media had this narrative about the kids being bullied and it being some kind of revenge on the school. They weren't bullied, they were just anti-social sadsacks and psychopaths. But the narrative probably inspired a couple of the following thousands of shootings.

  • Did I say violence or did I perhaps say murder? Sorry but I don't think the correct reaction to being bullied is to murder a bunch of 10 year olds, not even if they are shitty 10 year olds.

  • Literally doesn't matter. There is no amount of bullying that justifies you murdering another person and especially if that also involves killing or scaring innocent bystanders. If you think a school shooting is a valid response to being bullied, you are a piece a shit that deserves to he bullied.

  • It works as well as any other AI product. The reason this works particularly bad is because it fully relies on the AI to function.

  • Major problem with the gadget is the same as all AI. You can tell it to perform tasks as long as the task doesn't have any specific requirements to how you want it done and if you inevitably do have requirements its faster to do it yourself.

  • Nothing outside causing suffering.

  • It's probably unrelated. The stock dropped before and after the announcement.

  • Yes. Nice chocolate didnt have a map because they were custom made and had people experimenting on site. It's very rare to do it that way now because most chocolate is factory made and require ingredients breakdowns.

  • No. It would be if Argentina told NYC that putting out rat traps is cruel and Argentina will block important NYC trade because of this.

NYC would then rightfully ask Argentina if they would like some of their fucking rats because there sure are a lot of them and they provide very little to the NYC economy outside of selling rat traps.

  • Botswana has a point. If a German went to Sweden to hunt moose and brought back the head, nobody would flinch.

If hunting is cruel ban import of moose products first and see how the debate goes.

  • What makes laws strong is precedent and this law doesn't have any. Her case is too flimsy and we don't want her to set precedent since she has infinite lawyers to defend her. Its better to get more solid cases first and then go after her when there is solid precedent.
