  • Did you draw the heathcliff or did you luck into finding a heathcliff in that angle.

  • Did you read the article how he did it? He was explicitly testing them to see if they were waking up from the movement or not in the most cartoonish ways possible.

The way you rationalize things is how children gets raped.

  • It is the new crypto. The same people went Crypto -> NFT -> Metaverse -> AI without ever changing the way they talk about it. AI is slightly different because it has some utility in the world but it's still the same unstable, over hyped garbage.

  • If we ignore the wife being a cunt, I wouldnt let my dad try to fix a toaster. Things that run on Transformers with lower voltage is free game but anything with parts that runs directly on main power is going in the trash* or a proper repairman.

*by trash I mean recycling station.

  • I think he might just be an Italian cop. He seems to work on the same level of competence.

  • Brain so smooth it could be used to define a SI-unit.

  • Shutting up is useful in every country. If you are in a country that refuses to provide you with a lawyer you are fucked anyway so you might as well shut up.

  • Even more reason to shut the fuck up. If you are in a country that will punish you for refusing to make statement without a lawyer you are already fucked either way so you might as well shut up.

  • This illustrates the importance of going full "shut the fuck up Friday"-mode when being interrogated by police. Name, date of birth and country of origin. Nothing else until you have a lawyer sitting next to you.

  • Does that matter? Nobody can fire him or regulate his behaviour in any way. What does public opinion matter when you are a divine prophet of the law.

  • Det mesta Anders Lundin har gjort har åldrats ganska väl. Jag tror att han har bäst känsla för barnprogram bland dom som gjort programmet.

  • Wow, this unlocked memories I didn't know I had. I was the core audience when this aired the first time. The CGI greenscreen man was weird and I did not remember it until right now. The thing that had the biggest impact for me was probably the puppets because it actually taught me how thermodynamics works. The bear theater at the end is probably the most famous guy on the show that made tons of other children televisions. He is like a core part of any millennials childhood.

  • Holy shit, no wonder the empire is fucking dying.

  • So is dictatorships.

  • Wait? Is the current political leader allowed to just change how votes are counted for the next election?! Is this why the Wikipedia article for how election in England work is just incomprehensible garbage?

  • I can't get over how insane it is that the sitting party gets to look at their polling numbers and decide if it's a good time to have an election or not. I get why they are so insistent on keeping the monarchy because the rest of the system is kept together by tape and random bits of string

  • It's not uglier than the other portraits in the set. Its really weird that she would object when she is sharing a wall with royalty.

  • It's a catchy name and it was among the first examples of the effect in the internet era that amplified the effect many fold. There is no reason for me to know about Streisand's house and there is no reason for me to know about this painting. I have only know about them because the internet exists.

  • When he says camera trickery he means that he doesn't edit anything. when I say camera trickery I mean that the camera must be at a certain angle for the trick to work. If he has a mirror for example and the camera moves a step to the right, the mirror is suddenly not aligned properly to my field of view and the illusion doesn't work.

The hobbits in Lord of the Rings is an excellent example. Nothing is edited in the shots but it relies on a very specific focal length in the camera and carefully planned forced perspective. It's impressive and a technical feat but it not "magic" like card tricks are magic.
