i see what shes trying to say but goddamn is she inept at saying it
I don't, most people in the world can see what is happening in Palestine. if you are contrarian at this point it is Tom Yorke-like egocentrism manifesting
I remember when Westerners mocks the supposed stories of Chinese people never washing their hands after shaken hands with Mao during the height of Cultural Revolution
Every leftists/progressives/Liberals defending Palestinian rights needs 5 minutes to make sure that Zionist feelings are safeguarded and that they condemn any violent Palestinian acts
Right wing people defending Palestinians don`t care and just bulldoze everything in their path.
Which of these 2 inspires confidence? because people don't like to be associated with weakness. The fact that people still think you can debate people into being anti-zionist is insane, do you think zionists don't know what Teodore hezl's project is not a colonial project?
The best arguments are telling them ''I don't care'', ''it`s not my problem that the genocidaire is Jewish'' or just actively mock them
I used to work with a sweet Chilean\Lebanese\Russian lady in my previous job, her family migrated after the Pinochet coup to escape the repression.
She told me that her extended family who lives in a village and stayed after the coup had a picture of one family member with Pinochet (she doesn't really understand the circumstance of why the picture was taken but it's probably for propaganda)
post 60s Quebecois art circle\culture is most definitely socialistic even if its aspiration died in the 90s, you can still smell its influence time to time.
We have had a huge influx of Chilean people since then
There is a monument dedicated to Allendes on the site of the world Expo near the Casino
Also Canadians like to shit on the Quebecois for being cringe, but Quebec is the province with the highest bilingualism rate, we actually furfilled our end of the bargain in partaking into Trudeau Sr Canadian bilingual experience, something I can't say the anglo provinces actually do (or the anglos areas in the city that keeps crying and shitting about the French oppression while making 5 times the median income in the province and to campaign finance for the IDF).
Also, Montreal is actually dope because it's the most "European" city in terms of city planning
Tbh, the Revolution Tranquille actually really helped with Quebec's stripping of its more catholic conservative culture and made it more progressive (There is some funny parallel with post 60s Quebec and the democratization of Spain post-Franco). There are some back sliding in recent year, but it's nothing compare to the rest of Canada.
The fact that we speak French probably helps since the conservative ecosystem is mostly anglo centric and when they try to replicate it in French it sounds disconnected.
ok but French culture and Quebecois culture are totally different tho.
Also I'd rather stay in Montreal than in Toronto, the fact that Toronto is trying to be as hostile as possible to Bikers while the terrain is flat, warmer weather and a more significant bike delivery workforce is just unhinged
This insane clown posses Reunion tour looks promising
