  • Yes between the low density and refusal to build transit, which go hand in hand, suburban car dependant planning has destroyed the livibility and affordability of many cities.

  • Speed bumps can be designed to accommodate emergency vehicles.

  • Mostly the financial cost and labor of installation. 2 people and a truck can install cameras and maintain them for relatively cheap compared to redesigning and resurfacing a road.

  • Israel failed to prevent the humanitarian disasters that Israel started.

  • I could defintely see 16 year olds voting against their best interests, such as lower drinking ages, less school years, easier school circulums. Ending school at grade 10 might sound like a great idea to a 16 year old and the mp pitching it could convince older canadians it would save a lot of taxes as well, all well significantly impacting that new generations education potential.

  • Way she fucking goes

  • They aren't just joining Australia. USA, and 16 other countries are participating as well.

  • Given the trend of young men moving to the right, it does worry me a bit where the youth of Canada would place their vote and what the future that would create for them would look like.

  • I needed to pirate that extensive game, movie, and porn library to train a gaming, movie, and porn recomendation model

  • My boss is like this. Lies so much and ao frequently, even about the smallest things, that some lies become truths.

  • Donnie the Diddler

  • I think he was assaulted as a youth so he knew the damage and trauma that can cause. I doubt he would wish those experiences on anyone.

  • Municipal compost is one of the best waste solutions society has ever implemented. It saves space in landfills, cuts down on odors, and it reduces fire and explosion risks. On top of that, the organic waste becomes compost that can be used locally. Most recyclables have to be shipped far distances before they can be reused but most municipalities can process their own organics into compost. The gardens in your city are proably nourished by the cities organic waste.

I've had coworkers try to say that the organics bin is some woke media conspiracy about control or something and I just don't understand what their problem is.

  • Thats a long thumb

  • Trucks actually started selling more when the first started mimicing the looks of semis. I think dodge was one of the first to adopt that mindset which was basically everything on the front end gets bigger.

  • The problem is their supporters look at burning the world as progress.

  • The cost of living means i typically work 10 hours a day, 6 days a week to make ends meet. As someone who moved to a new city in the past few years, this lifestyle has absolutely crippled me socially. There are other factors that have made it difficult to meet people, such as dependance on social media for socializing, but the hours i work is definitely a major factor. My job tends to have me working with/for people 2-3 decades older than me so there hasn't been a ton of opportunity to meet friends through work.

  • Somewhere with 500,000 people can definitely make use of transit. Maybe not mass but definitely trams, buses and regional rail. Also active infrastructure like bike lanes (granted provinces seem to be at war with cyclists recently).

  • This was not what pierre had in mind when he thought he'd be making history
