as someone who has a VERY hard time in social situations in general, phone is my best time. I don't have to look at anyone, and I can somewhat 'read' your emotions or if I'm being too weird. in text, I'm clueless. in person, I clam up because I get shy. phone is the perfect in-between.

not paying for the random 3rd wheels food... yeah, triple down on it. make it VERY clear you aren't paying for someone whom you aren't wanting to actually meet or invited in the first place.
