Was passiert ist, dass viele Menschen den Alkohol nur noch bei tatsächlichen Anlässen trinken, wozu ich indem Zusammenhang insbesondere Party am Freitagabend, Besuche von Freunden oder generell gemeinsames Ausgehen zähle. Meine Spekulation wäre, dass sich da auch nicht all zu viel am Konsum geändert hat. Was halt eher eingebrochen sein dürfte ist das Trinken auf der Arbeit ohne Anlass, weil fast überall verboten und eventuell ein gesteigertes Bewusstsein gegen alleine trinken.
Ich habe manchmal den Eindruck das Alkohol früher eher als Lebensmittel und heute eher als in manchen Kontexten akzeptable Droge angesehen wird, wobei letzteres definitiv die gesündere Interpretation ist.
Und Zugriff auf eine Droge die einen enthemmenten Effekt hat ist prinzipiell auch durchaus etwas, was gesellschaftlich durchaus positive Effekte mit sich bringen kann, auch weil Alkohol als mischbare Flüssigkeit halt in sehr vielen Formen kommt die sich alle konsumieren lassen ohne direkt andere zu belästigen und bei deren Konsum auch der Drogenkonsum nicht der alleinige Zweck ist. (Wer einfach nur betrunken werden will, kann sich Wodka hinter die Binde kippen, aber zumindest ich bevorzuge dann doch deutlich ein komplexes Geschmackserlebnis in einer guten Cocktailbar, bei der man dann am besten auch den Barkeeper die Auswahl treffen lässt.)
Und da weiß ich halt nicht was bessere Alternativen sind, die diese potentiellen Eigenschaften teilen, auch wenn Alkohol für sich betrachtet ja durchaus eine der härtesten und gefährlichsten Drogen ist und alleine deswegen so verbreitet ist, weil er halt seit je her extrem etabliert ist.

Wenn es dir wichtig ist, kannst du ja nach wie vor alle Formen listen, das lässt dann keinen Zweifel daran was du tust, aber meine Erfahrung ist, dass die meisten Deutschen bereits heute die Grundform primär als Generikum und nur sekundär als Maskulinum sehen, sich also Frauen und Nichtbinäre zumindest bei Pluralbezeichnungen mitgemeint fühlen.
Das ist so eine der Situationen wo es ein reales Problem gibt (die deutsche Sprache hat Probleme mit geschlechtergerechtigkeit) und sich dann eine Gruppe die sich (tendenziell sogar zu Recht!) davon besonders betroffen gefühlt hat eine Lösung verlangt hat, ohne aber ordentlich zu analysieren, was die Konsequenzen dieser konkreten Lösung wären und ohne Alternativen insbesondere auch in Bezug auf Akzeptanz zu analysieren.
Das Ergebnis ist eine unfassbar sperrige „Lösung“ die Niemand mag und in erster Linie für „ass-covering“ und Virtue-signalling verwendet, wird, was dann natürlich wiederum viele abschreckt, die einer vernünftigen, minimal-invasiven, Lösung zugänglich wären. Das Ergebnis ist dann die aktuelle Polarisierung die jetzt von rechtsradikalen Spinnern wie der CSU natürlich noch weiter befördert wird um zu polarisieren.
Die saubere Lösung, die das eigentliche Problem anerkennt und es mit der kleinstmöglichen Änderung der Sprache vollumfänglich adäquat löst, wird dagegen nirgendwo erwähnt, weil man damit nicht polarisieren kann: Gendern 2.0. Kurzfassung: Bei neutraler Betrachtung ist das tatsächliche Problem ironischerweise nicht das Fehlen einer neutralen Form, sondern das Fehlen einer explizit männlichen Form die die weibliche Form spiegelt und damit die Grundform als echtes Generikum (als das sie in der Regel auch verstanden wird) frei gibt. Man kann da sogar noch über eine dritte Form für nichtbinäre Menschen diskuttieren, die man bei Bedarf direkt mit einführen könnte. (Persönlich bin ich aktuell kein all zu großer Fan davon, weil nichtbinär keine eigenes Geschlecht, sondern eine Sammelkategorie ist, die vom Generikum nach meiner aktuellen Einschätzung (die aber offen für eine Reevaluation im Angesicht neuer Argument ist) hinreichend abgedeckt ist.)

I would suggest they create a new account for exploring these feelings in trans spaces, then. Its more secure to do that anyways.
A big point of something like Lemmy is that you don’t need separate accounts in all the communities that you are in and trans communities should put the bar low for people who are looking to explore things. It may not always be the safest thing to do, but reality is messy and people who are just kinda uncomfortable with what they have may still be far away from understanding.
He/him is the assumed choice in most internet spaces which misgenders a wide swathe of trans people, of course I would prefer it to be they/them, as its better if you don’t know the person’s pronouns. The reality though is we need to implement these things in steps so people can properly understand why its important to use they/them when you don’t know someone’s gender. I still get regularly misgendered with she/her in my name, these people that purposefully misgender must be removed from this space to make it safer, and by having more people with pronouns in username, it will make that job easier.
Nobody says you can’t have your pronouns in your username if you want them too, but forcing other people to do the same is really reaching into other people’s personal zone to an extend that I do consider inappropriate.
