Поехали!

  • Here's my zero effort attempt

    :snow-problem::frosty-the-gunman:

  • Also a common tactic for troops to leave weapons on/near the people they murder & count them as "enemy combatants"

  • RIP to a real one, I'm going to put on a lecture of his after work

  • trying so hard not to

but at what point will people start shooting back? It's clear ICE is only escalating their campaign of terror

  • Damn it's really not subtle at all

Edit: and I think it might be AI generated, at least in part. No Vancouver Island, the weird Canada-US border veering north, no other borders visible

  • You'll see resistance/revenge killings once the Americans start killing people, but the average white Canadian won't give a shit until they're affected personally. So long as it's not their family/friends/neighbours being blown up & shot they'll roll over an accept it

  • All I can think of is what if all the time, effort, and money that goes into designing hostile architecture was instead used for something, anything more productive/helpful for society

  • It's worse when you get someone that's happy winter is warmer now, but you're the bad guy for saying the words "climate change"

  • winter is getting more and more unpredictable. It used to be that we'd get snow in late october/early november, mid november by the latest, and it would stay frozen until spring in late march. We'd have a couple weeks of deep freeze, think -30 to -40, and the rest of it would be below zero.

The last few years we've made it to december without snow that stays around, and while we still get some of the deep freeze events we also get wild temperature swings that leave everything coated in a thick layer of ice or buried in slush. "winter" has been either mild hovering right around freezing or -40.

It makes me feel old but I remember as a kid I never understood movies/tv when the characters would be hoping/wishing for a snowy christmas when that's all I ever knew. Now the last few years I've found myself hoping that we can have a decent snowfall by mid-december.

  • Handguns and semi-autos are legal to own, you just need to take the "advanced" gun training course and they come with extra restrictions (can only shoot at proper shooting ranges is one). It's not even all semi-autos that require an rpal, what is and isn't restricted is pretty arbitrary.

Edit: also mag sizes are restricted to 5 rounds but getting around that is as easy as removing a rivet

  • Oh I assume america would use the same door-kicking family-annihilating strategy they've used the world over, I just think white Canadians are so cucked that america taking over the country & killing people wouldn't spur them to action until it affected them personally.

I agree that indigenous people & other POC would bear the brunt of any American occupation, but them being treated poorly hasn't been a problem for many white Canadians so far. So many white Canadians are racist AF, if American troops can refrain from shooting/bombing them specifically they'll be waving the stars and stripes happily

  • A few thoughts:

    1. Canada can't claim to be taking the threat of american invasion seriously while continuing to buy American military hardware
    2. The average Canadian won't take up arms unless they or their loved ones are targeted first. Plenty of Canadians would roll over like dogs
    3. That being said I do think there is potential for asymmetric warfare shit what with the long border and a potentially hostile population that speaks the same language/is largely culturally similar to Americans. It's not like Afghanistan/Iraq/Syria/Libya/Vietnam/Korea/pretty much any other American invasion where they have an ocean between them and their target.

I still think that if america does invade (and I'm beginning to lean into that being possible, especially if they go ahead with a Greenland landgrave) it'll be mostly a "change of management" invasion, though it also depends on how they treat the average Canadian. The easiest way to start an insurgency is to kill people's family, friends, and neighbours

  • If this ends with a pivot to better relations with China I might have to extend some tentative, extremely critical support to Chairman Carney

  • In a way it's similar to the way Hitler (and a few others) is used to take the blame for everyone that contributed to the Third Reich. Even high ranking generals like Rommel got whitewashed as "good Germans"

  • Yet another example that the average imperial core lib is 100% on board with the American empire, they just have an issue with the optics of having trump in charge.

Fuck me, they could have made the other pins other members of the trump regime/republican party, hell they could've labeled one "ICE", but they have 0 problems with the fact deportations are happening they just want to be able to ignore it

Edit: and this is ignoring the fact that this "protest" is basically a theme party

  • Every vote for the libs should come with a
