I'm here for a meme time, up votes to the left thanks

  • In our stage of capitalism, these arent even exceptions. 16k for a Versa. Is probably the best deal I've seen in forever, because almost no one makes sub $20,000 cars now. The last New cars I saw for that were economy cars (Sonic/fiesta/fit etc)

Weird, Nissan doesn't have a problem selling Versas for $16k? Chevy doesn't have a problem selling a Malibu for $25k? Honda doesn't have a problem selling a Civic for $25k or an Accord for 28k?

Malibu used to be sub $20,000 new. (2008) Civics were $13-15,000 in 2005 brand new. These prices are outrageous for the amount of car you get by comparison. $25000 for a civic? It's small and goes vroom. For 3,000 more you have an Accord! Compared to an Accord Civics have no storage, small legroom, an engine that makes them zippy for sure, but it's not as if the Accord is a slouch. At this stage mpg is comparable.

And what happens to the customers who literally can't afford the expensive models? There's a lost sale for every one of them.

If you're not interested in playing the game of taking on massive debt Then that's fine - in their eyes you can keep buying used cars. For this type of person, they've fought so hard to make every car so unfixable to the average person. Parts and service departments are free to make a killing if you can't fix it yourself.

For those that insist on buying dates models you CAN fix - You can forever own hand me downs with ghosts under the hood, gremlins in the electrical lines and odometers with 6 digits. It's just a numbers game where eventually you will buy one that shits out way sooner than you can afford before your mentality suggests "maybe reaching deep on a CC and getting something with warranties wouldn't be so bad?"

  • Most fast food places I go I'm able to "just order" without a menu. They haven't changed their core items in decades - I don't know why people treat menus as if something special is on it. Even people who rarely go - guess what McDonald's the Burger Joint still got "cheeseburger no onions" and Popeyes The Chicken Place still has popcorn Chicken (extra breading hold the chicken)

  • Man how hard it must be to suck it up, and just do something you don't agree with because your job said to. What a fucking child of an adult.

This isn't a new debate, he chose to work in a field where he was gonna be asked to do this eventually. I have to call people "valued customers" all day and don't agree with it, I don't see how this is any harder for him to adapt to in his field. (Not that pronoun requests are frivolous and dumb, they're easy to just....do)

  • Not even the board. Their Union is one of the last strong ones and hoo-boy do they get to throw their weight around on medical institutions. They play super hardball when an institution or employees of the institution dares try to correct someone in the Union.

  • pulls another Uvalde

You mean where the police don't act and instead stand around? Man it almost seems like law enforcement not acting should be the focus not the fact people are unarmed.

Every event like this will have security with the local PD on alert if they call. That's how it's supposed to work - "good guy with gun" often gets shot by police response if you hadn't been keeping track.

  • Pet rats are one thing but absolutely fuck wild rats as a pest. When they get into your walls, your floorboards. Your kitchen and bedrooms. Like roaches, if someone finds out, it implies you are an unclean housekeeper but in reality they're just fucking hard to get rid of. They shit everywhere. Your bed. Your floors and dishes. They chew up the wood on corners and the feet of tables and chairs. They'll bite you and your kids in your sleep leaves welts. If they get a large enough population they'll bite your pets or worse. In addition they themselves are unclean. Everything has to be washed before you use it or touch it. Every dry good in your pantry they get into. Even when you get rid of them, the habit of checking edges of boxes never goes away. They'll chitter in the back of closets where you can't see them. Give birth all over your shirts in a drawer, and turn your socks into confetti. Then die in a wall and reek for weeks.

    Fuck rats.

    • the average person does not care, and won't pay for reddit. They do not use it in a way that makes sense paying for it like a subscription.

Redditors will care. Chronically online people will notice. Will it make money? Only from goobers willing to fall for it. It's like a two part joke - unpaid mods couldn't stand against the initial API changes because it meant losing the figment of imagination that they call power. Unpaid volunteers will now eat the other half of the joke - they're going to PAY to moderate these subs. (As the sub will need a subscription presumably). Reddit investors are getting these people to be the joke that just keeps giving. Imagine paying to do work lmao

  • Engagement go brrrt.

    1. Not at an appropriate angle to turn quickly. You'd have to swivel your head 220⁰ or more to physically check both oncomings. Star for shit angle to attempt a turn. 2. Hammers down while raining so slips and then hesitates - sign of a fucking genius 2.5 Even with HD they weren't going to get enough speed after almost a full U turn (based on angle) for that oncoming black car so star there because everyone would have had to slow down for them to get in and then speed up. Incompetence. 3. there's a No Left Turn so star for illegal maneuver 4. They're on an on-ramp of some kind actively holding up traffic rather than being to the left to allow normal merging. Star for being a blockage.

Of course it's also an SUV, I'm only surprised it's not a truck. It's always fucking trucks. 4 out of 5 stars

  • Don't we all? Like him or hate him it's something funny enough for most of us to type at least once. It feels forbidden.

  • Number not go up?

Abandon ship to the next company where accountant promises number go up.

  • I think it's just a combination at this stage. Something for everyone to hate about them.

They're anti-union. They're meme levels of expensive in an era of strapped cash. People are conscious of "local" business over something they know is a chain. Brand reputationn for low quality for the price has set in. And lastly people are aware of their stagnation. There's nothing "revolutionary" going on in the coffee industry to draw customers who have been turned off back to them. Even McShungles can draw people back to them with a special sale on something. Starbucks never does that I'm aware of (and if they do they're doing a shit job of advertising as evidenced by my lack of knowledge)

  • We used to be a PROPAH countreh

  • There is no avatar movie in ba sing se

  • Yeah that's pretty shitty to continue to sell a part that they know is defective.

  • "select the bikes" That's a motorcycle and that's a moped. Those don't count-uh I fucking guess they do?

"Select the bus" Bro that's an intersection at 200 feet.

"Type the Captcha letters" Is that a lowercase r or a capital T?
