  • It was the same when movies started getting released in 1080p back in the day, it just looked weird

  • No, not really. "2K" is 2560x1440 resolution, it's almost twice the pixel density for similar sized monitors.

  • I never communicate with sellers, I always just open a dispute right away. I'm not bothering spending days going back and forth due to time differences and language barriers, fuck that.

  • Probably not, I've seen reviews online (after I bought it) that complains about it only printing matte at lower temperatures but then is isn't possible to print fast anymore.

  • This is the only PETG I've ever had this issue with, normally I can just store them with dessicant and it's fine.

Right now RH is fairly low around 30-40% because it's cold and winter, summer its usually around 60-80% here.

  • They do state it is more hygroscopic than normal PETG due to additives that allow the fast printing, but this is still significantly worse than I ever expected. I also didn't expect to need to dry it for two days after unwrapping it just to print with it.

  • Its Sunlu HS PETG, relative humidity is a little under 40% in the room (around 25% in the storage box), there's probably about 60-70cm from dryer to extruder. I already purged a good amount before starting the print, but apparently not enough.

  • you have zero recourse if you get screwed aside from leaving bad reviews.

I've had a few bad experiences with sellers over the past decade with aliexpress, a couple hundred orders in total, but when there was any issue I've always received a full refund within a few days. only once did I experience a seller disputing my refund claim, but aliexpress got involved and I got the full refund.

  • Unfortunately it needs a safety cage around the bottom end

Only if you're a scared little bitch /s

  • I have an old v6 hotend with about 2500h of print time on it, looking pretty dirty too, but I have no issues with heat creep. I also don't think that what you show should be causing heat creep, but giving things a good thorough cleaning occasionally is never a bad idea.

  • I think the ROI for my server is something like 6-7 years, not counting the electricity it uses. I don't do it to save money but to gain independence, which is good because realistically it will never break even.

  • Spiser du så heller ikke varm mad om sommeren?

  • men i min position

    LOL 🤣

  • You misunderstand me then...I'm not saying we should not regulate some technologies and what they're allowed to be used for, we absolutely should. But blame should be put solely on the people using it in horrible soul crushing ways. They are terrible people doing terrible things, blame them, punish them.

  • He may have used "end of year" before 2018...I'm pretty sure he promised "coast-to-coast" FSD capabilities "by end of the year" back in 2016

  • Because technology isn't to blame. Technology doesn't have any agenda or intrinsic capacity for malice...the people behind it do. The people who decide to use the capabilities of technology with malicious intent are to blame, they should be blamed for all of it. Do not let technology share the load of that blame, it is only the people behind that should that, they er personally to blame because they actively chose to use technology maliciously when they could just have chosen not to.

  • This is the same CEO who has promised “full self-driving next year” every year since 2018.

This is just plain lying by electrek...he started promising "self-driving next year" long before that.
