It may not rise to the level of proof, but it is a memorable and easily understood demonstration of something already proven by car safety researchers, as mentioned in the article.
Why shouldn't they precut the wall into cartoony shapes? It adds entertainment and doesn't compromise the demonstration.
If I may abuse a metaphor, the money they are getting now is the bird in the hand, and the money they could be getting from a enthusiastically supportive base is the two birds in the bush. Why chase what they might get, when they can hold on to what they have? Especially when they consider that letting go of the bird in the hand will cause it to fly straight over to join the birds already in their opponent's hand.
Now, we might say the bird in the hand is poisonous, and should be discarded regardless, but a look at longtime party leadership makes me think they know, and they don't care. Those people haven't cared for a long time, if they ever did. As long as the likes of Pelosi can keep their own seat, it doesn't matter how much damage is done to the country, they can keep enriching themselves while claiming to care.

You keep saying that other comments are supporting Hamas and apologizing for terrorists when you are literally the only person talking about them in these comments so far. Critique of Israeli government is not an endorsement of Hamas, as they can, in fact, both be awful. I find it weird that you just assumed critique of one was somehow support of the other.
It's not meant to be taken literally, but as a blatant hyperbole. The joke is referencing the fact that 2 ply toilet paper is notably softer than 1 ply toilet paper, and extrapolating that to the fictitious extreme of 10 ply toilet paper which, if possible, would be unbelievably soft. It's from the show Letterkenny, as are a bunch of the other things people are commenting in response.
No, this is extremely atypical US imperialism. That's why the world finds it so shocking. Typical US imperialism is quietly redirecting food aid to support a more US friendly leader taking power, and slipping some arms shipments in as well. Our typical imperialism included strong-arming other world leaders, but only in closed door meetings, followed by shaking hands and smiling with them for the cameras. It was subtly reminding allies that they rely on our militarily might for safety from their more aggressive neighbors, so they owe us support on a global issue. And yes, the more heinous stuff, like assassinations, bribery, supporting coups, and etc. All stuff that's plausibly deniable, or given a veneer of legitimacy, or just kept unnoticed. By the time any of the awfulness shows through, it's old news, everyone's attention has moved on to elsewhere.
Trump is destroying or fucking up at all of that. He's taken all the winning hands the US has carefully built up and banked over many years, and thrown them in the trash. Following that, his meeting with Zelensky caught global attention by being blatantly naked imperialism running down the street babbling incoherently. If you're an enemy of the US, or just someone who's sick of our shit, you may want to celebrate, because we are currently watching American hegemony disintegrate in real time.

There was an anonymous statement by an employee that SpaceX basically has a small department whose entire purpose was to keep Musk distracted from anything important whenever he would get involved with "running" the company. Pretty sure the article I read that in said that they confirmed the employee's identity and it would explain a lot about their surprisingly successful work.
Not at all. He'd still do the evil stuff that benefits him personally, or that he does out of spite, or that he does because it riles up his supporters. Honestly, he'd probably still do some things to benefit Putin for free too, just to help out someone he admires. Still, I think he'd do less (or at least different) evil stuff if no one had been willing to buy him.
What would be notably different, I think, would be the amount of "disrespect" he puts up with from his buyers. Elon hasn't once been publicly deferential to Trump, when everyone else he's working with has to toe the line very carefully or get fired
I can't remember who it was, but I saw a comedy routine where the guy described a conversation he had with his financial advisor. The advisor asked him "What does financial stability mean to you?" The comedian, having just recently started earning real money from comedy for the first time, had never even considered such a question before and had to ponder on it for a moment. Finally he thought up an answer. "What financial stability means to me is when I'm ordering food and they ask if I want to add guacamole, I don't have to think about it, I can just say yes."
That line really stuck with me, and I have found it to be an accurate indicator of my own financial stability. Only works if you actually like guac though.
Oh yeah, I didn't mention it, but I 100% agree it's bullshit. They want to be able to track you better, and make it easier to convince you to subscribe to 360. Their bullshit keeps me employed, but I'd rather my job wasn't needed and do something different if it meant M$ was bullshit free. That'll never happen though, it would be less profitable for them.
Finally got a chance to watch this video. I don't know enough about how Windows works to have found the exploits they did, but I do know it well enough to understand what they did and found it hilarious. It's more practical to actually get out of S mode, but making everything run despite still being in S mode was a good laugh.
Yeah, it's technically already home version, just in a special mode, and it's trivial to switch out of if you don't mind connecting your Microsoft account to the computer. Just log into the Microsoft Store and "install" the switch out of s mode "app". It's a bit of a pain to get rid of it without adding an account, so if you want to do that, it's really easier to just do a fresh load that will automatically pick up the home edition license the laptop already has. Why not just use a disposable account just for switching laptops out of s mode? We tried doing that, but Microsoft locked the account after we'd logged it in and out of a dozen odd computers. Now we just use the customer's own account if they have one (and actually know their password), or reload Windows if they don't. You'd be amazed at the number of people buying cheapo S mode laptops and then being surprised when they can't load some other software they really need. (Or maybe you wouldn't be amazed if you've worked with the public before. Point is, a lot of people do this.)
