  • The area i live has all this within a few mile walk and there are nearly a million people here. I'm confused. What cities are you visiting that don't have parks and bike paths. I've got a national forest close enough i could walk if i really wanted to. It's a good 10 miles from me.

  • Thats a spicy take. You know the seat being down is more than convenience, right? It's extremely unhygienic to flush an open toilet let alone the dangers of small children falling in. I recognize a public space is less likely to have a child small enough and unattended to worry significantly about.

    We live in a society and all that. Personal responsibility only works if you err on the side of caution. If there is a default setting to a toilet seat and cover it would be down and closed. Otherwise, why put one on at all.

  • I'm always amazed at the idea that we left leaning don't have guns. I've got a range a few miles away. While yes, i don't have a basement full of guns. The number is definitely not zero. I think there are more left gun owners than is given credit.

  • To add to this I've heard professionals in my field say if acetaminophen was discovered today it would likely be a controlled substance for this reason alone. The overdose potential is too high. That always seemed like an extreme measure but i can understand it.
