  • If you’re not publicly exposing things? I can go months without touching it. Then go through and update everything in an hour or so on the weekend.

  • It won’t be YouTube Shorts, which isn’t doesn’t even have a functioning algorithm.

  • I mean in all honesty if another app takes over TikTok it’ll just be Instagram reels. It’s already got a lot of cross-buy-in.

  • Hmm brand new account, first comment, definitely no Astroturfing going on here.

  • 30 year olds are kids now? This is big

  • Well then yeah maybe the EU should ban them. Thats up to them, but I would totally understand it if they did.

As for TikTok’s user data, it doesn’t matter where it’s geographically stored. ByteDance has unfettered access to the data regardless, which means the CCP has unfettered access to it.

  • No it’s literally the exact same logical process you followed in your comment, just on a subject dramatically worse. Also I know what it is you’re accusing me of, but a “red herring” is not it lol.

  • You think that it being unaddressed made it “fine?” The United States had slavery for years and years before being banned and I wouldn’t call that “fine” either.

  • The United States is not an enemy nation to the EU. Nor does the United States own Meta or Xitter.

That being said if EU nations were worried about the NSA collecting information on their citizens and had reason to believe Meta was complicit in that, then they absolutely should ban Meta. I mean they have the GDPR don’t they.

  • Well we already were. Now we’re just down to American tech giants.

  • I don’t think that a hostile foreign nation has an inalienable right to collect the data of and interfere in the lives of American citizens, as a form of “free speech” lol

  • For real. I handle PCI audits at work and at this point I’d pay somebody to do it for me.

  • When did that happen?

  • I definitely wouldn’t count the Resident Evil movies. I don't think you can even really call them adaptations. The only similarities between them and the games are that there are zombies in them.

  • Yeah I personally like the Fallout show more than TLOU, but TLOU did it first, very successfully.

  • Fallout is a series filled top to bottom with passionate fans of the games. The Witcher was… very much not that.

If you’re skeptical, watch Tim Cain’s (Game director of Fallout 1) videos about the show and meeting the people who made it.

  • Btw those are also on sale. Steam has a Fallout Classics bundle with FO1, FO2, and FO Tactics for $5

  • We would actually need trains that go all the places people want to go for a better price. That would definitely be cool.

  • That’s not a silver lining at all. Jets are actually very fuel efficient compared to driving when they’re full of passengers.

One less plane in the air could potentially mean 300+ more cars on the road. Not a great outcome.
