  • It's generally considered poor form to visit a UK community and say that the US is more important.

  • UK elections are always on Thursdays for some unfathomable reason.

  • In Scotland perhaps. There's no council tax in Northern Ireland either, instead they use the rates system. I'm not aware that there are any discounts for septic tank users.

  • Also note that in Scotland and Northern Ireland there are no water charges, the utilities are publicly owned.

  • Why?

  • Is this another "illegal immigrant finally deported" story?

  • Not much 40° heat in the UK.

  • Note that this article has nothing to do with the USA.

  • I wouldn't trust a service that can't even spell résumé properly.

  • Or a very offended Irish person.

  • They were all elected by the voters in their constituencies, the same as every MP, and chosen as the leader of their party by the party members, the same as every PM.

  • What is AAA? Name resolution for IPv5?

  • I'm a cyclist in the UK and you're totally right. Enforce the laws against those uninsured electric motorbikes constantly riding on paths and ignoring every law possible as well.

  • Heathrow also has another five international commercial airports in the city region (all of which only have one runway, but one of those was until recently the busiest single-runway airport in the world).

Gatwick, City, Luton, Stansted and Southend, although the last of those is arguable. It calls itself London Southend so I'm keeping it.

  • 1 billion of what currency? How do you account for inflation?

  • Is that bad?

  • I've had high end raw fish in Las Vegas, a literal dessert.

    Fish as a dessert??

  • What error do you get in the system log when the transfer fails?

  • I don't see how systemd has anything like the Windows registry. At least its journals are leagues ahead of Windows event logs, I hate those things and the awful viewer they have.
