  • They didnt say it was a bloodless coup. They said if they get a Republican elected there will be sweeping changes, akin to another revolution. The statement about the left was a warning that the left might become violent if they try it.

And you're proving their point pushing for violence.

When one lies about what another has said in an attempt to basically call for violence, it's incredibly sus.

  • He was very wrong

If everytimw you say something has a 30% chance of happening, it never happens, then your models are wrong because they should say zero percent. If you say something has a 30% chance of happening and it happens, that doesn't mean you were wrong.

It's shocking how many people don't understand percentages.

  • Microsoft expects me to pay for Office 365? No, fuck you, I’ve got LibreOffice and your older Office software still works as good. Your word processing program, Word, hasn’t really changed that much since 2007 or even 2003. Hell, maybe not since 1997!

So I moved to foss probably about 20 years ago and have been going back and forth between libre office and open office.

A couple of years ago my wife wanted me office, so I got the subscription...and man it's so much better than either of those two, and to suggest that maybe it hasn't changed since 1997 is mindboggling.

I'm a big proponent of not signing up for these services, but this paragraph really misses the mark for me.

  • Yeah it's not for everyone, but I just have an event on my calendar for every six months, and I just rebalance when it goes off. Only takes a short while, especially if you are using some tool that will tell you what your weights are.

  • If you're really hands off these are a good choice. But if you are willing to rebalance a couple of times a year, it's unnecessary to pay the extra fees associated with these funds.

  • Only non-black racists try to claim that Negro is not a racial slur.

    Ive presented straight up facts.

lol. You really have no idea how logically ridiculous you are, do you.

Because you’re more concerned about being “right” than actually changing your viewpoint.

Just remember that you are clearly projecting here. You think I must have this short-coming because you see it in yourself.

I won’t respond any more to any further arguments on your part.

Next time I suggest just moving on rather than taking childish insulting swings at the other person and then running away. I'm happy to debate you on the topic, if you're willing to not ridiculously and illogically accuse me of being racist because I disagree with you.

  • It's been such a steady stream of scary shit coming out about the horse they are backing that they have to manufacture something.

  • It's not a word I use myself. I've just never considered it offensive, just dated. If someone told me it was offensive to them, I wouldn't use it (but again, I don't use it anyway so I don't see how this wouldn't come up) around them.

But, honestly, I would have no problem saying "the United Negro College Fund" if I were talking about it, but if there were a similar entity that used the far more offensive n-word in it, I would not feel comfortable using it and wouldn't say it at all.

And I find this all kind of silly because they freely use it throughout the article, where i doubt the same could be said about the other n-word.

  • Only non-black racists try to claim that Negro is not a racial slur.

I would have considered your point, but it's pretty clear you are absolutely unreasonable and presumptuous. Of course you think I'm prejudiced, because it's a projection of who you are.

  • You use that term all the time then?

Yes, that's clearly what I said. You're very smart.

  • Which is mine blowing because they talk so much about the Epstein list, because they believe it confirms their belief about corrupt elites, but then totally reject that the most likely guilty one is trump.

  • "there was no switch. That's why you see all of those Democrats waving the Confederate flag. That why all of the Confederate states are deep blue."

  • Yeah it's a lot of fun. I had a few adults that were there the whole time, but then a bunch of other neighbors/friends wandered in and out throughout the night. Probably had a total of about 10 different people hanging out.

  • It can also fire up your base.

Maybe. But it's asymmetrical at best.

What idiot decided the democrats needed to pull their punches while trump and the republicans get to call america garbage?

No one. Look how fired up you are after Trump's comment. This is my point. It was a dumb mistake for his campaign, just like Biden's is a dumb mistake for Harris' campaign.

Trump is a fascist. Period. Full stop. Anyone who supports him is also a fascist. And fascists are garbage human beings.

Again, you're mixing up your feelings about how true the statement is with whether or not it was a good move for the campaign. These are two entirely separate things.

Besides which, they were already out voting. They can’t vote any harder.

This flies in the face of all conventional wisdom. Campaigns are out canvassing heavily in swing states (I know, I live in one of them, among very politically active people who are doing it), with the intent of making sure people get out to vote. You seem to be viewing Trump supporters as some kind of borg who all do the same exact thing, but it's simply not true. There are people who are lukewarm about this and may or may not vote. You don't want to give them any ammunition to fire up these people to encourage them to vote. That's the whole point.

  • Normally I wear a costume, but mine fell apart this year.

  • Lol I'm definitely doing this next year

  • The reason it is dumb is because, with a close race, getting your base out to vote is important, and this can be used as a rallying cry. It's just like insulting your opponent before some sporting even and it's used a locker room fodder to rule people up.

We learned in 2016 with the deplorable comments, which was accurate, was a mistake. This is a mistake too, no matter how accurate you think it is.
