  • This seems interesting, never seen it before.

    But i'd say be careful as there's not much information on the screen (refresh rate, gamut range) and it's great to brag about you being able to switch parts but there's not much info on that, i'd be surprised if you can swap anything beside the ssd and some ram. Also the marketing is a bit weird, the keyboard is showed at all time but the price shown is wothout until you try to actually check the price... Kinda scummy if you ask me.

    A part of me still think it looks a bit like a barebone low quality tech that is almost useless in it's option-less, low spec state.

  • I got a 2060 super and i must say i'm very happy, i do 3d stuff so the ray tracing was plenty useful and despite it getting a bit it fairs pretty great in most games and the price was okay at the time (500 €still a bit high since it was during the bitcoin mining madness =-=")

  • 5mbps is high in my book, i used to download 1080p stuff and games on an adsl network and trust me I WISHED that shit could reach 5mbps ! Most of my pirate life i'd have miraculous spikes at 1mbps and i still always went for 1080p stuff or if I can't find it in that quality 720. To me when i watch something i want to enjoy it to the fullest so i don't even bother with lower quality, i don't have 4k hardware so i don't bother with that.

    (I've enjoyed fiber connection for a year or two and i always get surprised by the speed of it lmao)

  • I agree with you too, we definitely should produce our own technology as it is much wise for many many reason, but I'm still convinced this is no reason to try to blockade other country's imports.

    And, yes i am convinced this decision is a 100% about money.

  • Do you really think this is why they're against it ?

    I'm not saying we should encourage pour working conditions, but there's a lot of things that are exaggerated or straight up lies and we as "the north" should stop pointing fingers at other countries that do much more than us for the green transition. There's a lot of lies being spread regarding and, there's green hardware being produced there but also a lot of research and r & d.

    High ranking business man are more scared of China being ahead tech wise rather than production wise, and with all the microchip drama this is bound to happen.
