  • I listened to a lot of nightcore growing up. That's something I don't ever want to go back to.

  • It's for when you want to be one with the fireball. There is nothing more badass than going out in a literal blaze of glory.

  • The radio at my workplace has already started playing Christmas music a week ago. They can't even wait until after Thanksgiving to play that crap now.

  • There are solutions. Those developers/publishers would rather have kernel level anticheats than use any of them.

  • Not all competitive games require kernel level anti-cheat. Marvel Rivals, Overwatch, Valve's games, and Halo all work under linux. It's only a problem for people who want to play certain games like LoL, CoD, or Apex.

  • I played both HK and silksong on arch, and haven't noticed any glaring problems like that.

  • Most open source projects are not financially driven. The bigger projects, such as this, usually function like non-profit organizations.

  • It's definitely time consuming, especially if you struggle to find the right documentation\tutorials on how to do things.

  • I also highly recommend arch-based distros for gaming. The AUR is also full of various tools for gaming such as mod managers.

  • I don't whats worse, having your name constantly butchered, or having to deal with a copywrite dispute with the 3 other people in the room with the same name for ownership of it.

  • I used paint(dot)net back when I still used Windows. After making the full switch to linux, I now use Krita, and have GIMP installed because it handles certain file types better than Krita. I cannot begin to describe my hatred over GIMP and how it's a necessary evil in the world of image editing for anything that isn't png, jpg, or webm.

  • This is partly why I don't browse lemmy as often as I did. It seems like recent news/politics have bled into all the big communities at this point. Scrolling through it all doesn't do me any good when I am already feeling stressed and anxious.

  • “Many of the 17 women were too scared to come forward because they were frightened of him.”

That sounds kind of creepy to me.

  • Ughhhh. I just got my configuration setup the way I wanted it a few months ago. I really don't want to jump ship after spending so much time learning how homemanager works.

  • At one point mine was barely legible cursive. Now it's a bunch of squiggly lines that barely even resembles cursive at all.

  • Mine was a variation of my xbox gamertag.

  • Valve never intended for deadlock to have as much media coverage as it did. It happened anyways because a media outlet chose to ignore the informal NDA message that popped up when launching the game. The message was removed shortly after the incident.

  • Dark traffic?!?! LMAO. Can we start calling malicious ads dark advertising?

  • Itch.io is delisting NSFW games due to pressure from payment processors

  • Visa/MC make up most of their income. They were given the ultimatum of either banning a small group of games, or losing the ability to process payments almost entirely. Itch is not the problem here.
