Not a huge one. The thing is, they can't move their navy to the Black Sea so they're limited to what they already have there. Of those ships they have lost quite a few, but outside the Black Sea that l they still have a substantial navy.
The Democrats certainly have their share of the blame to bear. They never did anything to really oppose them fundamentally. To this day they'd rather make a deal with the Republicans (where they are always on the losing end) than do anything that might be seen as promoting progressive causes in the US.
All modern cars are privacy nightmares. But putting spyware in their export cars world be a very dumb move by the Chinese because there's no way they wouldn't get caught.
A system where only the rich have cars and everybody else gets around with good public transport is certainly suboptimal. But it's still far better than being completely choked with cars like many other Asian cities.
But don't worry, they're "too big to fail". They'll get bailout after bailout until they can stand on their own again after a transition made far more painful by their foot dragging. So in the end it's the Japanese tax payer that will foot the bill.
The only way forward is to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels. This is not only good for the environment but also helps to make the autocrats in the oil producing countries less powerful.
Even Hitler and Stalin didn't use chemical warfare because they knew the repercussions. But Putin is just too far gone at this point to see any reason.
