I come from reddit which is an extremely toxic place with all those mods abusing their power banning everyone almost for no reason, I hope this site gets obsolete once and for all

  • What issues are you all talking about? I m a Linux user for eleven years now, the only issues you may have with them are only in the beginning when everything is not installed or sometimes not everything is perfectly installed and set up, once you finish with that you may get bored by how extremely stable they are, you just do your work and that's it, and they stay like that forever, the only reason people are using windows is because they are pre installed, that's the only truth.

  • In some extent this is true and correct, but when it comes to automate individual thought and creation then ethical problems arise which should be looked at and asserted carefully and with dignity, because there should be boundaries on how much automation can extent in human life, in the end humanity does not compete with anybody except itself, we are humans trying to live and most of all communicate with each other, Jobs are also a way to communicate and socialise but as we already saw they try to take that away in any way they can.

  • You are speaking bollocks, there are already many lawsuits by artists against the so called Ai engines, there are boundaries on how much you can copy from a specific artwork, logo, design or whatever, for example if you take the coca cola logo and slightly change it even if it doesn't say coca cola you will still face the laws of copyright infringement, nobody denies the existence of thieves, so that's why people do whatever they can to protect their work

  • I have already saved subreddits I liked on bookmarks, but after so many suspensions and bans for literally stupid reasons I had enough of this cesspool which is reddit and surprisingly I feel a lot better, I think reddit takes way more than it gives to anyone, I use lemmy moderately and that's the way things should be with anything, not sure I will ever get back on reddit again
