  • America hasn't had to deal with the recieving end of Imperialism for almost 250 years. (its been on the giving end of it for the last century) America is in no position, not Trump, not Elon, not Biden, not the dude that just wants to grill. None of them are in a position to tell someone not to fight for freedom, when there is an actual threat of losing ones freedom and sovereignty. Most western countries have long forgotten what the struggle is all about because they've had their freedom for centuries.

    Ukraine's fight has been going on for centuries, but 2022-Present has been the defining moment of that fight.

    If you aren't going to help, shut the fuck up, and fuck off and let the rest of us handle it. Ukraine isn't going to stop fighting for its existence just because Part of America is tired and upset about superficial things like egg prices. If America isn't going to carry the torch of Liberty, there are plenty of others willing to take it from here.

  • Im not convinced that China will ultimately stay "allied" to Russia. the CCP is incredibly obstinent, and Russians are incedibly racist, they hate China, they hate the fact that China has been taking over east asia (including the colonized parts of Russia) for years up to this, they've fought serious border wars against each other. they say they're allies, but its only for the camera, the only reason Russia isn't openly regarded as a Chinese satellite state, is the nuclear arsenal. Russia's economy is smaller than Italy, it has a relatively large population of old and poor people, its military is eviscerated, and it's used up pretty much all of the diplomatic capital it had in the world by going on an imperialist genocide.

    and until Im proven wrong, the Republican party in the US seems to have nothing but hatred for China, and nothing but footsie flirtation for Russia. I think I read somewhere back during Trump's first term that they were trying to "court Russia to be America's ally so that in the future they could both fight China" Not giving a F about how Russia is seen by Europe, (and in hindsight other than getting the nukes off the table, its a braindead alliance plan, Russia cooked itself trying to colonize Ukraine, and pissed off europe to the point they started re-arming, making them the military power of the continent again. Strategically, if we're disregarding the openly kleptocratic tendancies of Mobsters and Oligarchs running both countries, making people like Putin, Trump, and Musk ridiculously wealthy... Russia has nothing to contribute to America other than taking 3000 nukes out of the equation, and guess what, China and America still have enough to wipe each other out)

    Israel and America are largely the same entity.

    Iran and Russia are diplomatically, the same entity, Russia's closest ally isn't the fake, for the cameras relationship with China, their closest Ally is Iran

  • I identified as moderate, or progressive conservative, and at least intended to vote that way. in my 30s (Not American but adjacent, we haven't had an election since I entered my 30s and im 32.)

    but then I just kept seeing the self identifying conservatives, basically being a hair away from goose-stepping. r/conservative is fucking terrifying, its a good thing im banned from reddit.

    (Turns out Im probably a NeoLib / NeoCon, Not down with the super progressive stuff but still tolerant of it. Just wanting people to chill the fuck out with their rhetoric. but apparentley, My kind is dead now, so . Maybe its time for Yee-haw fuck the law?)

    I'm Canadian, I spent the last 3 years mentally numbing myself and accepting the possibility that we could formally be at war with Fascist Russia in my lifetime, it's not that much of a gear shift to use that same consideration that there could be a war with a Fascist American faction too.
