  • The real fun is when you can't watch what their doing because its over the phone, so you just have to hope they are doing it right. I used to hit them with the "Let's try this; hold down the power button for exactly 30 seconds, then turn it back on." Worked every time, but I did once have a guy ask me why that worked, and I didn't want to call him an idiot so I made up some BS about it being a way to "flush the power from the system" and he bought it.

  • My initial thought is "I don't believe you" if they claim to have already restarted the PC. Sometimes they Think they did but only put it to sleep or something, and sometimes they are just lying to seem less stupid.

  • You forget, the police are cowards. Remember Uvadale Texas? One man with a gun and none of them would even get close. Now imagine 100 men with guns, the cops won't even bother to show up.

  • If there is any takeaway from Star Wars, it is that once your democracy begins the decline into dictatorship, the only way to fix it is through incredible violence.

  • I think it's time to go back to the old ways of striking, back when workers would take up arms against the company and get in shootouts with private security. If they don't want to play by the rules they made as a way to get workers to not take up arms, then what is stopping us from just not playing by the rules either?

  • Ah, yes, because even a single vote can change the course of an election that is rigged from the start. The real answer is to vote for the lesser evil, then go out and arm yourself for the inevitable, as only violent revolution can solve this problem at this point.

  • I'm in IT, I'm kinda required to be online most of the work day.

  • The thing is, from what I can see the comments that Weren't removed are mostly what you are saying, defending artistic license. The stuff that Was removed is a bit more... graphic. I didn't get to see All of them, so I can't say for sure, but some of the ones I read were a bit much. Again, most of the people who defended this book and the contents within weren't banned or had their comments removed, just downvoted.

  • I came too late to see what the guy said, almost makes me want to know, but I think it's better that I don't.

  • I've been seeing that a lot, especially on posts about Stephen King saying that the Epstein List isn't real. Really fun to watch people try to defend actual pedo stuff with "You just don't understand the context!"

  • I don't think there is much of any kind of literary context that can defend writing multiple pages of children having sex in graphic detail, especially in a book where the sexual abuse of children is not a primary theme, nor anything regarding child sexuality being a major theme of the book. It literally just takes a turn from "children scared of scary clown" to "the 11 year olds all decide they Must pressure their friend into a gangbang so they won't die virgins" and then moves on from it entirely as if it never happened. The context of the story is entirely unchanged if you remove the scene, as we can tell from EVERY adaptation of the book into film.

  • I disagree, this is more of a "Hey, why the hell is this in here when it has nothing to do with the story and does nothing for the plot? What does this say about the author?" kind of discussion. It's like when people call out the fact that the goblin dudes in Harry Potter are clearly racist depictions of Jewish people, it's weird and says a lot about the author. Are we saying to ban Harry Potter? No, read it if you want to (just don't pay for it) but keep in mind that the author is a terrible person.

  • I don't see how I am being proven wrong at all. The MAGA crowd just is too stupid to realize that the reason you'd hide a list of pedos is that you are on the list, but if they saw the list and saw he was on it, they'd defend him anyway. They already have been, for years, any time the photos of Trump and Epstein hanging out come up.

  • Look, I don't know why you feel the need to defend a part of a book that is, as you just said, a Child Orgy, but you do you, and maybe you should talk to a therapist.

All I can say is; when I write about children, or think about children in any way, I don't ever think about them having sex, whether that be with adults or other children.

  • Hey now, MAGA has openly supported child molesters in the past, it is nothing new to them.

  • Man, who would've thought that the guy who wrote a child orgy scene would turn out to be a pedophile? Edit: Didn't expect this to blow up and result in multiple bans... whoops.

  • Fascists, Oligarchs, go through them all and you'll find a reason to shed tears at the end.

  • Sounds like a useful tool for any revolutionaries out there.

  • No no, there Are too many people... just of a specific social class.
