The far right will continue to be a growing problem no matter what happens with EU-US relations. Fascism is capitalism in decay and capitalism will continue to decay until we get rid of it. That's most likely not going to happen any time soon, but it definitely wont happen within an EU bending over backwards to appease the tantrums of a senile manchild being puppeted by five billionaires.
The accelerationist part of my mind kinda hopes that this would happen. The EU needs to get its shit together asap, and this could shove us nicely towards that. Or then we just keep groveling like the vassals that we are.
Nice visuals on these, but I don't see the point of measuring forest cover per capita. A percentage of surface area or similar would be much more useful.
And plenty of neonazis are doing the same now. They correctly identify some problems caused by late stage capitalism to rile up people who are suffering because of those, but then the blame is directed at easier targets. It's much easier to point at some ethnic or religious minority, than it is to tackle systemic issues with how society is organized.
I mean, in casual spoken finnish, "it" dominates. The third person singular for people "hän" is already gender neutral, but I guess we prefer not to make assumptions about anyone's personhood :D. Or maybe it (se) just rolls off the tongue more conveniently.
I'm not quite as concerned. Images don't report back by themselves like a link that has the sharing info appended to it does, so the platform (or a crawler reading that platform) would need to actively read those watermarks. Also when someone copies and shares the image again, the watermark stays the same and now they don't know if the image was shared from the original source or the first sharer, unless that platform rewrote the watermark to remain unique. So a waterproof chain of attributions would need all the platforms involved cooperating with each other.
It's nonsense. The low pressure should be above the hoof for it to generate lift. The airflow arrows in the first picture are also nonsense. Is it supposed to depict turning to the right or to the left? Can't do both at once.
We have a word for nonsense made using generative artificial intelligence.
I smell AI slop. Particularly in the way that it could've been made to make sense, but no. An example from the second picture: Do the reindeer fly backwards?
It's great. Some people recommend starting with Player of Games, since Consider Phlebias is a bit different to most of the books in that the protagonist is someone from outside The Culture working against them, but I think the publishing order works fine too.
@grok please put some more clothes on him.
