Its definitely a balance. Good code shouldn't need much commenting, but sometimes you have to do something for a reason that isn't immediately obvious and that's when comments are most useful. If you're just explaining what a snippet does instead of why you're doing it that way, there's probably more work to be done.
Not a small community by any means. It inherently is opposed to the unnecessarily large and wasteful models of corporations. But when people just lump i al l under "AI", the actually useful local models are the ones most likely to get harmed while Google, meta, and the other megacorps will be able to operate with impunity.
Well you went from one of the easiest to one of the more complicated distros so thats not surprising. There's a lot of distros thst are just as simple to install as mint, you don't need to mess around with arch and gentoo unless you're planning on becoming a real Linux enthusiast.
