  • I very well could have run to my room and change the shirt. But it was a call from my boss so I answered and he said we were hoping on a call to discuss this crisis and I said ok. It wasn't until I looked at my picture on zoom that I nice what I was wearing and at that point we were 20 minutes into the call. Anyone paying attention would have already seen the shirt and I figured it would be stranger for me to stop the camera and run and change the shirt.

  • Against dress code, is what the article I read yesterday said. Even though you can wear slacks made to look like jeans, as long as they are not denim they are fine.

  • The article I read yesterday about it was skewed a little different.

He was out for lunch with a friend and went straight to the tournament after and forgot he was wearing jeans. He offered to change them for the next day but they said he had to do it now, at which point he said it was a matter of principal and walked off. I know I have no idea how the "societal elite" live but I don't carry an extra set of pants on me when I go places.

As someone who accidentally ended up on a management level web cam meeting with a "death and taxes being the only thing you can count on" shirt, I understand not realizing what you are wearing in the morning. I have since made changes to what I allow myself to wear on working days

  • Of you read the article, she is already being replaced in January by a republican candidate.

  • I've thankfully been in a relationship for over a year. But when I was looking the dead ending the conversation was huge for me, I'd say a third of the matches did it. I used the 3 strikes rule, because sometimes people are busy and they just want to respond but don't have time to continue the flow of the conversation. Which is fine.

I once has a girl follow up 2 weeks later asking why we didn't go on a date? I told her that was the first question she asked me and I felt she wasn't into the conversation.

Don't be so desperate to get into a relationship that you try to carry the whole thing on your shoulders.

  • I wear beats buds ALot probably more than I should but I love listening to audio books. I would say 5+ hours a day in listening with one ear or the other. For probably the past several years.

If my dog didn't eat the one bud i would probably still be on my original pair from 4 years ago. Even with sweaty ears during a workout I have a good 5+ seconds heads up that is coming out. But that's extreme, for normal use I would agree that 20+ seconds when it's coming loose for one reason or another.

All that to say, I agree op needs to find better tips. They ship with several sets for a reason

  • I mean, you kinda answered your own question. "What war?" "The war the incoming administration will probably start / pour fuel on is the only one I can think of"

  • Hahaha, because I do have friends that I do like to see. But we are all of the age where we actually have responsibilities (kids, wives, husbands, family, jobs etc). Not everyone can be available at 3 weeks notice. And that's fair

  • It sucks for sure. On average I invite 20ish people and expect 5 to show up. If nobody shows up I'm still eating the good food and having a couch bonfire. Ain't nobody stopping my fun

  • Disclaimer: am American.

I say the 4th of July because it's a holiday. July 3rd, 5th, etc are all month/day. I don't know why just what "sounds right" and it's what I was taught. It threw me for a loop working with people over seas when I saw 13-10-24. We quickly noticed the confusion and swapped to spelling months out

  • A surgery that my little one needed was being denied by insurance two weeks ago. Yesterday when calling for the pre surgery instructions we were notified that last surgery was approved. So we were doing all three requested surgeries at once and only having to put her under once.

I don't know if this was the cause but there was a 180 on the approval.

  • I'm guessing it's a power thing. They have "trophies" to get off too

  • Why don't you go get a job in the FDA and fight?

  • I can't speak to others but it's exhausting. All the "did something illegal" "got egg on the face of the US" "made a clown of himself". I can only be outraged for so long before I'm burned out. I've voted every election big and small. I've argued and talked with people about how bad this could be. I've told people who didn't know there are still literal wars going on and how there is an avenue for ww3. People don't care or they think trump is the one to see us through and any changes he wants to make are good.

What else can I do? I'm not going to take up arms because I still believe in our democracy.

  • That's my job title.

  • Cold turkey worked for me. But it wasn't this big thing. One day I didn't want to go to the gas station to get more and that turned into, how long could I go? And now I smoke once a year on my friends birthday and HATE the taste.
