  • There's links?! WHERE

  • Isn't that high or drunk Boston accent

  • These are witness statements with evidence?

They used Russian propaganda techniques to deal with this, polarization, gas lighting, every trick in the book. Now the lines are so blurred, nobody knows what to believe, which is the true stated goal and accomplishment.

If you're American- realize that you live in the most heavily propagandized nation on the planet earth. Yes, worse than Russia, China and North Korea.

It's just the end results, achievements, goals are not aligned with what we might traditionally perceive as the end goals of propaganda. This includes corporate and government sponsored forms.

  • Passkeys are good if stores locally on the device. However, if used with a password manager the security benefit is lost, and thus actually weaker.

2fa, like Aegis for most people, or better yet Fido key for advanced users?

  • One day (communities, localities or government libraries) will again host public goods information with free access. Fighting intellectual monopoly is fighting for the return of local libraries (just the modern ones).

The absurdity that western governments fight archivists is beyond insane. They should be helping to distribute and host the data.

The half life of data is getting worse not better in the digital age. These pirates are doing the work of the public good and being vilified.

    See: https://topdocumentaryfilms.com/digital-amnesia/

  • The content is distributed across numerous torrents. It's decentralized. Also there's a reason pirate bay is still up, while the other centralized players aren't.. . design distributed systems that aren't vulnerable to easy take downs.

Speed, security or cost, pick two.

  • So what did the redacted sections say.. .. .. anyone 🩻

  • Mega projects, no less with vanity as the centerpieces are a sign of weak militaries. The strong militaries are pursuing drone and anti drone technologies. Russian frigates warships are disabled by small Ukrainian aqua drones; and are hiding at port. The bigger they are, the harder they fall.

  • This is fucking hilarious.

  • What about an awards system built on top of the fediverse. To win the awards, most comments from country X or something like that. Instead of advertising, it acts as a hook for people to join the fediverse.

The worlds 5 shittiest countries. Top award countries:

Who killed the most people? Russia lost 1.3m of their sent to a pointless war and killed a few hundred thousand Ukrainians, also committed countless human rights abises

Best dictatorships who live well and fuck everyone else over? Maduro?

Shittiest reputation for being wreckless and stupid? USA?

Most underhanded and likely to commit next mass genocide? China (here's looking at you Mao- 65 million killed some estimates topping out at 150m, impressive)

  • Which country gave you this prompt?

I'm trying to say give up YT, not worth it anymore.

  • Trump probably just try some stupid national emergency or alignment with Xi hostile takeover of Taiwan. Says fuck it whose pulling me out of here, dude down to his last set of diapers, got nothing to lose practically. Alternative is a blue wave, democracy encroached, they'll abuse all the same powers now that the boundary has been pushed and we will see the same shit show clown nonsense with Newsom.

Regardless if they're justified or not or party X is worse, rule by executive order and backlash (absolutely) against political appointments (some deserving, some not). But the next wave of democracy's walls have been broached and libs refuse to give power back to the people instead serving their corporate overlords vs billionaire overlords.

I see very good, small local initiatives, online and offline, but not the grass roots building into an unstoppable momentum that we actually need to build better societies.

  • Vance 😂🌊💦

  • What's app 😂 how does what's app ever get rolled in with privacy respecting apps

"Today, with the right information, right technology and algorithm, companies can create simulations of individuals, and use the machines to predict future actions such as purchases, locations, changes in career or relationship status.

According to a study published in 2019, there is a possibility of achieving 95% of the potential predictive accuracy for an individual using their social ties. This means that one’s social contacts are sufficient to predict their personal attributes."

  • Well I found the book elsewhere 🤠😄

Really love my book club Anna 🫣🦥😐🙃😉

  • Something like everyone can have a say, or input, we can call it democracy, digital democracy, unencumbered by the current neoliberal or rightist fascists. Maybe something where everyone can vote directly, or delegate, and revoke their delegation, with private voting, but open source. No multi trillion dollar budgets for people to cut back room deals for shit outlays. Where public goods funding is reinvigorated for the good of the people, not the administration.

We can call it democracy... something

  • Cool, cheap, open(er), shit security 🙄😅, fine as an ink reader nothing else. People say use w calibre for notes and highlighted extraction, but I've not tried that yet

  • So if it's not sitting on a kindle, I have zero access to the file? What did I pay for then

  • I don't have a kindle, I think I just read it on my phone before
