  • Seems more economic than political to me, but also why such the strong reaction to an on-topic reply? As you even said yourself:

I don’t really care all that much about any particular issue. I enjoy copying the ideas suggested by others in the fediverse and transforming them into new issues, as many individuals do not take this initiative.

Your account has existed for all of 3 hours and you're trying to come off like a well-known fixture of the community whose opinions are above reproach. I'll also say it seems suspect how quickly detracting comments are earning downvotes but not replies in this post.

In short, I don't believe you, your post or its engagement, are sincere.

  • Imagine a social media landscape where every piece of content is perfectly tagged

working tirelessly to make your online experience safer and more enjoyable

All of this feels a little disingenuous when it's not even mentioned that all this tagging and classifying would also make it much easier for training LLMs or tracking groups/individuals/movements.

  • *pique :)

  • Username Johnsoncentral, registered ~50 minutes ago, linking to the domain central24 -- pretty sure their intention isn't to inform but to drive traffic to their site.

  • Extra impressive considering what dinopad10 mentioned in the comments:

This is made more amazing after realizing he’s moving left to right in the traditional low to high pitches in the audience perspective, but contrary to his own. In other words, as he moves to HIS left, the “notes” raise in pitch, but this is to the right in the audience perspective, so he’s switching it in his own mind.

  • Because of all the bullshit with subsidies etc. intended for improving broadband infrastructure being abused, my dream is:

    • All the poles & lines (and access rights to them) are nationalized and then opened up for individual ISPs to service. Current ISP exclusivity contracts/agreements should be dissolved. Let them actually compete for customers with price, features and customer service.
    • The government should also offer tax-funded baseline connectivity to everyone since it's effectively impossible to live in modern society without internet access. The provided speeds must be sufficient for a typical bloated framework-script-heavy site, all (meta)data/packets should be considered constitutionally protected private info not able to be monitored/scraped/sold.
    • Use building out and supporting the above as a useful jobs program instead of more military adjacent stuff.
  • Enshittify👏Enshittify👏Enshittify👏Enshittify👏

  • Because it seems like you only post links to one site from which you derive personal benefit, and don't feel it's necessary to disclose that to your audience.
