Have a nice day.

  • Are you aware that many high-end luxury log homes are prefab?

  • The greenbelt doesn't even need development. The province's own report said we just need to make better use of our land. In too much of Ontario for too long, zoning has restricted most homes to be inefficient single family housing and suburban sprawl far from peoples' jobs. We need missing middle housing, duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes, and greater density.

  • We need to pressure whichever party is elected to implement electoral reform.

  • The tunnel is expected to cost more than high speed rail connecting Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec City. It would be the longest tunnel in the world under the widest highway in North America.

And all experts say the tunnel won't even "fix" car traffic in the city.

OPCs are not fiscally responsible but are savvy at using populism and culture wars to win elections.

  • The province has no electoral mandate to remove protected bike lanes along Doug Ford's commute.

All ridings where bike lanes were threatened by Ford and his unqualified transportation minister have flipped from conservative to NDP and Liberal.

Bill 212 didn't get a single delegate in support and experts from every industry have categorically said that removing protected bike lanes will worsen car traffic and increase road death.

He shortened the debate period and rammed it through regardless, tacking on an amendment to shield the province from lawsuits as a result of removing safe infrastructure, an admission of guilt.

  • You support the court smacking down Bill 212 or the charter challenge?

  • Musk is a direct contributor to those plants closing in Ontario and his Teslas aren't even made here.

Edit: All of your comments are defending Trump, Musk, Tesla, and the USA so I'm going to assume you're a troll.

  • This is the same rhetoric that was used in Canada's genocide of indigenous peoples.

Part of reconciliation is denouncing what happened in Canada, which is still being felt today, and working towards reparations that are led by Indigenous peoples. We must learn from what happened and do better. But it is all in vain if we support the same atrocities being committed in other parts of the world.

  • This is the way.

  • They have a lot of money. Some places that the cons have no chance in still have more blue signs than anything else. Don't get complacent, regardless.

  • He did an interview in December of 2024, less than 4 months ago.

  • True maple syrup homies pay Canadian artists.

  • The fact that they're creating a crown corporation to build homes on public and private land is huge. This includes prefab and modular homes too. They're even committing to using Canadian lumber.

We cannot contunue to rely on capitulating to and deregulating private developers and expecting them to act in any way other than own self-interest. They have no incentive to bring down the cost of homes. It is now crystal clear that the neo-liberal solution does not work.

A crown corporation that exists to create housing rather than maximize shareholder value is a massive step in the right direction. Frankly, I'm surprised Carney is doing this but happy about it all the same.

I expect Carney to get pushback from Doug Ford who is firmly in the pocket of private real estate investors.

  • Can we stop these kinds of comments? It's exactly what MAGA will use to rile up violence against Canada. Who doesn't like a fun plumber video game but we're better off encouraging and helping Americans to organise.

  • You know what else didn't seem like reasonable goals in the current political climate? Dissolving USDA and global boycotts, resulting in absolutely tanking Tesla stock. Things change.

Organizing can make the change necessary to overcome usamerican fascism. Giving up and relying on the status quo will allow your "democracy" to die in silence.
