  • I pointed out what politicians need to do to get elected, namely improve the material conditions of the people whose votes they want, but other ways too. If you interpret "dems need to not suck shit to earn votes" as telling people not to vote, thats on you.

  • When did I ever say anything about how I voted?

In any case, my individual vote had no effect at all on the outcome of the election. A change in dem policy and action would have had an effect.

  • Hi there friend, would you kindly get the heck out of my nightmares?

I've had brakelines fail, you press the brake, and it just stays down.

  • Look back at my posts and point to the thing I said that suggests I want to "let bad people burn down the system and think your perfect ideology will rise from the ashes".

Because that is the opposite of what I want, or what I expect would happen in America, so I'm confused what words I said that coukd possibly give that impression.

  • Wikipedia already has a decades operating cost of savings.

  • What the fuck are you talking about?

It seems like you just made a person up in your head to get mad at.

  • When have I been silent?

I have been screaming this shit would happen since they ratfucked Bernie in 2016

  • If you're campaigning on killing a child every day, you absolutely suck at your job and need to be replaced. It is predictable that many people aren't going to vote for you.

No logic or vote-shaming or whatever is going to make killing a child every day a popular policy. You can change policy, you can't convince voters that actually killing a child every day is OK because the other party wants to kill 10 children every day.

  • And doing fuckall to improve your constituents material conditions for 4 years while also facilitating genocide, sending the police to kick the shit out of the politically activated kids, you know the ones who phone bank and get all their friends to vote, funding ICE, etc is exactly how you make sure people won't vote for you.

Nothing I did encouraged the dems to do these things. Instead I encouraged the democrats to do the things they needed to do to win, while every lib demanding we vote blue no matter who 2 years away from the election helped them maintain the delusion the dems could win while telling their base to eat shit.

It would have been so easy too, all the dems had to do was not include ICE or Israel funding in the federal budget, or just refuse to dispense the funds, or order the head of ICE Biden appointed to fire everyone and spend the funds on something worthwhile, and suddenly the republicans symbolize returning this great evil the democrats just ended. But they had no interest in stopping any of that shit, and now here we are.

  • I absolutely do care, hence why I point out what needed to be done to change the outcome.

  • Would you point to anything I have said that suggests I'm fine with what's happening under Trump?

No, pointing out that the dems chose to enable this is not being fine with what's happening under Trump. Funding the gestapo being bad when the dems did it does not make it good when Trump does it.

  • We aren't the ones who could have simple not funded ICE.

  • What kind of motorbike would you recommend for vietnam? Redlining a Honda Wave to do 55mph for an hour is awful, but a <200 lb bike is really nice in traffic and when you have to go over curbs, and bigger bikes are more likely to attract police attention.

My buddy got a cb1000r dirt cheap, and hates it in the city, and is constantly paranoid every traffic cop is gonna take the bike or demand a shitton of money.

  • I don't think they understand politics enough to discern ideology, so they take political labels at face value. That's how you get 1 liberal (sam seder) vs 20 conservatives, and it turns out to be 1 jew vs 20 weird nazis.

  • features that they can’t afford to maintain

That logic might work for GPS service, but the example in the article is a bike where the battery's discharge rate and capacity are limited by software, and those limits can be increased via software if you pay a subscription.

  • The way the article frames it as "why pay for what you don't need" is so bad.

Nah, you already paid for it, the part is physically in the motorcycle.

  • Either that or an it*lian.

  • Might save someone else a similar experience.

  • Per mile, there are more fatalities, but in the US, something like 39/40 deaths from bicycles and 4/5 deaths from motorbikes is due to cars; presumably decreasing the number of miles driven by car would lower the number of pedestrian, bike, and motorbike fatalities they cause.
