I don’t think a terminally online view necessarily implies one only spends their time online but that their opinions or a set of them are formed based on online discourse.
And to extend my view for the sake of conversation, no I don’t think that view makes sense to me for two reasons. One the world has had many catastrophes throughout history that felt very world ending. I think global warming is going to seriously alter life as we know it but I hope it’s not the end of the human race. Regardless I will not live with a pessimistic view drinking myself to death because of this fact.
Two, if you want an alternative view I’ll give you my Buddhist one. Life is shaped by birth, death, rebirth, and causes and conditions. There is so such thing as the end of anything.
I found Baikal the easiest to setup :) never had to touch it again and works on all my platforms. Many caldav servers have issues with iOS because the devs are bad at caldav.
Btw an issue with this model I found if your computer randomly won’t charge is the smart charger is too smart and sometimes can’t start the dead battery. USB C to surface adapter will work
I’m running this model with more storage and I believe better ram and it runs fedora so well :) used it since high school until PhD. Fedora is easy and great but mint is often recommended for beginners. That said I did start with fedora.
If it was me I would purchase two gl inet routers. Their super easy gui can setup VPN servers and Tailscale. Can also use Luci for Openrouter. All my routers are this brand. I use them for Tailscale but I know the VPN server exists for both OPENVPN and wireguard. Very plug and play and if they installed Tailscale they could easily troubleshoot out of state as long as there’s power and internet
