close to zero chance of Iran getting J-20. J-20 is China's F-22, it has been banned for export. China's J-35 is equivalent to the F-35, which will be exported, but it has just entered full production and will need to fill both China's Airforce and Navy first. Pakistan will most likely get the first export. 5th gen fighters are a totally different beast than 4th gen fighters, not just in performance but the maintenance to get it in flying order is very expensive and complicated, Iran is not gonna be able to handle a 5th gen when they've been flying Cold War era American jets.
Seems like Iran is sticking to Russian aircraft, Su-35s have been rumoured for a long long time. There was a photo of a new mig-29 flying in Iran a few months ago, and Iran showed off their new Mi-28 attack helicopters a few days ago.
What's more surprising was how chummy he was with people he supposedly opposed to the core, like Bannon. Vijay Prishard, in his article on Counterpunch, once even asked Chomsky if he would ever meet with Kissinger, and Chomsky told him "No", but he has no problem with meeting War Criminal Ehud Barak. Just shows Chomsky's ideas were never really a threat to the ruling elites, he opposes direct action, and every election cycle he tells his fans to vote Dems.
either some performative art, or as someone else stated here previously, some assignment by some marketing degree dweeb to sell something to the masses that is impossible. Or maybe these are genuine bootlickers extraordinaire
and it snowed last night. A lot less snow than the gigantic amount we got last time, but the extremely cold conditions made the snow so dense and heavy. So difficult to break and shovel that stuff away. Perfect for making igloos though...
Chomsky is very Anti-USSR, calling it a coup staged by Lenin and the Bolsheviks. Very anti-Marxist, comparing Marxism with religious fanatics. I am not kidding, years ago, I listened to an interview he did on Robert McChesney's old podcast. McChesney was a leftist media prof, and once part of the editorial committee of longtime Socialist magazine Monthy Review. During the interview, Chomsky talked about how it was that the Berlin Wall fell, because East Germany and the USSR was not Socialism. McChesney asked Chomsky what country is closest to Socialism, and Chomsky says the USA because of all its freedoms. I had to re-listen that part to make sure I didn't misheard. That explains why he calls himself some sort of Anarchist, but always tells his fans to vote Democrats lol
When Chomsky's elderly first wife died, he instantly hooked up with Valeria (a Brazilian lady that was decades younger than him), it was a bit odd at the time, but now with the whole Epstein connections...
He was a hardcore Maoist in his youth, the Deng reforms really affected him. If you're a fan of Finkelstein, Paul Jay did a really great series of interviews with him years ago, pretty funny too.
The liberal reformist wing is still strong and they still dream of a normalized relation with the West. They still believe the West will play nice if they denuclearize. This is a fantasy, Israel wants regime change, but maybe the liberal reformists secretly also want regime change. Khamanei seems to play a balancing role betwen the liberal reformists and the conservatives (who understands that the West is not to be trusted and look more towards Russia and China).
Becker is one of the founders of PSL when they split from WWP. It's difficult to pinpoint Wolf's exact ideology, because he seems to present some co-op road to Socialism to a mostly America audience.. He did call Mao a great Revolutionary, and seems to have a positive view of modern China.
someone says that account is fake, dunno, but It's perfectly possible with the 09A angle. 09A's founder is some Fed informant.
