  • It's a well known phenomena that some people just don't get high their first time(s). I knew a guy since high school and years after that was basically immune to it. People gave him huge vape bags and massive doses of edibles and it never had an effect. Never saw the guy forget a single word. Then apparently at some point it did, because he smokes now.

    There are also people who are terrible at metabolizing gummies. I'm not one of them. Give me 2mg and I'm good. Give me 20mg and I'm curled up in the fetal position in bed waiting for the visions and monsters in my head to go away.

    Yes the US uses bots but it's mainly real people doing the job of downvoting antI-US (or pro-US depending on the sub) posts. Chinese people don't use tiktok, they use Douyin, so this would be like reddit itself suppressing those posts, which may be happening but again, did you do the research?

  • It's so insane to me how quickly Lemmy almost as a whole has been ideologically subverted, they can not even see wool as it is being pulled over their eyes.

    I am a nonbeliever, but I am a truthseeker. The majority of an entire world's generation has already been subverted in one area or another, due to global media. Whether it's Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok or YouTube, Douyin or Telegram; an entire generation has grown up ingesting content specifically engineered to target them and program them to think a certain way.

    I suppose it's not much different than traditional television and radio media from the 1920s onward, and paper before that.

    The tides are just turning so. much. faster.

    May those with the best tooling and best protected undersea cables win.

    In Sweden I think every newborn comes home with a huge box of diapers clothes formula if needed etc. And I think it's a monthly box for X number of months.

    But large families aren't looked at as a status symbol like they're trying to make happen in Russia, and as it was in the Soviet Union. Literal Military Metals of Honor 3 levels deep for the amount of children you had (Level 1 was highest honor, level 3 was lowest).

    Mother Heroine (Russian: Мать-героиня, Mat'-geroinya) is an honorary title that was used in the Soviet Union and now Russia, awarded for bearing and raising a large family.

    On 15 August 2022 Vladimir Putin signed a decree reviving the honorary title.[2]

    Also Putins intent is to turn Russia back into the Soviet Union so it's not at all surprising he's re-using things like this.
