Ich kann Deutsch erst am Niveau B2 sprechen.

  • The processor is rather bad. I think that any advantage of the form factor you see will be outweighed by the frustratingly sluggish experience. You'll wan to turn it into a single-purpose device and not handle it often, defeating the purpose of its physical feel.

Anyway, you'll see them all over Ebay when the service inevitably shuts down. If it had volume buttons and a headphone jack, there could be some audio-based use such as a podcast player.

  • Which podcast? (I'm Czech)

  •
            Fixed dead link (fr)

  • Unless you have tons of money, why preorder? Just wait for the company to inevitably go under and people start reselling their now-useless devices, and then scoop as many as you want from Ebay. Even if the company survives for a while, the functionality is so underwhelming they might start getting rid of them way sooner.

  • Probably not doomed. Their god would just not sacrifice himself to himself to convince himself that people no longer needs to perform blood sacrifices to him to get themselves undoomed by him. Not much would change, we'd be having a pagan Easter with chocolate eggs and no religious connotations, and some people would burn a lamb or turkey every once in a while.

  • Not the ideal way to get her cancelled but I'm not complaining.

  • I'd guess he would be a mediocre player I would lose to. Chess was actually highly regarded as a mind sport in the USSR and even taught in schools. And even if Putin is stupid, there are ways he can ensure I would never win (placing the chessboard on his side of his long table and getting me shot by security if I attempt to approach it).

  • I mean, the users probably didn't read the ToS but lots of social media and similar have these rules. I feel they should ask for every instance they use individual data for advertising their platform anyway even if the user clicked "Agree" when signing up. ToS;DR calls this "You sign away moral rights".

  • Looks like an anti-Spotify ad to me. Why should Spotify employees read the names of people's playlists?

Edit: oh, they're probably public ones. Still, technically profiting off people's content, which they likely agreed to in ToS.

  • When you're viewing the page, the word "sexuality" is on your computer. If there is a child in your household and Project 2025 goes through, you'll be committing a federal crime.

  • Pretty sure Apple would replace the buttons with pressure sensors – not for user comfort but so that they are no longer replaceable with OEM parts and can be serialized. They did literally this with Macbook sleep sensors.

  • Plot twist: They vote for him anyway, and then pray to get the first female president (who is hopefully less Zionist)

  • Unless they are very wealthy or massive corruption happens, they will eventually receive benefits amounting to more than the extra taxes. They are likely short-sighted or driven by propaganda.

  • It's fictional :(

  • "Amazon specifically told me to ignore IP laws. That's wild, right?

On an unrelated note, did you know that there's now a torrent with infohash 5e007531c6e7c8d23a957f0ccaba20d4c57b5078 that compiles all Kindle books and Prime videos? Crazy stuff!"

  • Wanted to customize GRUB and tried the GUI program. I wanted it to boot without delays unless a key is being held, and also add a "Shutdown" option (GRUB script halt), in case I open the laptop and didn't want it turned on. The edits looked alright in GRUB Customizer but I should not have made them both at once, because it made "Shutdown" the default option somehow, so the OS would never boot and holding none of the special keys worked. I failed to update or reinstall GRUB using a live USB and ended up having to reinstall the entire distro.

  • That's why "availability" is a core tenet of security (according to some cybersecurity course I took). It is easy to prevent unauthorized access to data if you have no requirements on authorized access.
