  • Where are these good dating apps you speak of?

  • There is literal food grade mineral oil for this exact purpose along with lubricating food making equipment. It's basically completely inert and is sometimes even used as a food ingredient. You can straight up drink a jug of the stuff with no health repercussions other than the violent greasy shits you would get from drinking any oil. Just because it's a petroleum product doesn't automatically mean its bad for you.

  • Or, it's time to just stop allowing any shipping traffic to or from St Petersburg. If Russia keeps using civilian vessels from there to perform military acts of sabotage then it seems perfectly reasonable to stop allowing any vessels to travel to or from there. Any ships bound to or from that port need to travel through another countries teritorial waters to access the ocean and at this point they would be well within their rights to stop allowing those ships to travel through their waters. Enough is enough. Russia can either quit their shit or stop having a useful port in St Petersburg.

  • My only real complaint about osha is that often there's no actual investigation into who's at fault, everyone present just gets fined. Theres no tact, no logic, just a fine hammer. We fairly recently got fined for working on a construction site where the plumbers didn't mark an open pit while plumbing a new mop sink. We were the HVAC contractors working on the roof. How the hell were we supposed to know what the plumbers were doing inside the building?

On the other hand, to play devils advocate, every contractor who was on site is going to think twice before working on a site with those plumbers again. But it still feels increadibly unfair to be fined for something you had no involvement in and no realistic way of knowing about. Are we expected to keep tabs on what every other company on the site is doing and if they are following their specific trades regulations?

  • "Why would I care about dismemberment? Do you know how much workmans comp pays for a pinky? I could put new tires on my truck with that."

  • I don't want kids and I'm not interested in short term flings so I wouldn't.

It's not not wanting to "raise someone elses kid" but rather just not wanting kids period. I didn't get snipped at 21 just to wind up with a kid anyways.

At the same time I wouldn't be opossed to a hookup with someone because they are a single parrent if that's all they were looking for as well. But I'm asexual so hookups just aren't my thing period.

  • Back to normality.

    Woop there goes gravity.

  • I wana be growing and firing teeth out of my jawbone like bullets and become the worlds most horifying superhero/villain. haven't decided which yet

  • It's the same study that's been in process for about a decade. It entered human trials last year with those trials expected to take 5 years. Growing teeth is slow. It's not really being pushed, it's just the same reliable hit for various news sites to break out on slow news days.

  • It was 5 years away last year and now this year it's 4 years away! Why do they keep changing the number !!1!

  • This reminds me of the time I was complaining to my therapist about some "sideeffects" I was getting from my new antidepressant.

I said something along the lines of "It's just kinda weird. It seems to make me tired but not in a sleepy way. It's not like physical exhaustion either. It's like I could lay down but not to really rest. It's hard to describe." My therapist thought for a moment and said the most correct and harsh thing I've ever heard someone say about me. "Are you sure you're not just relaxed?" She was completely right, but man does it feel weird to have to have someone else tell you that the strange foreign feeling that you've been feeling lately is what most people call being relaxed. Like sure, just strip my brain bare right here in your office and slap me with the fact that I didn't even know what being relaxed felt like.

  • So, loud as fuck smoke detectors don't get the job done?

  • Mood.

  • I wish I was trans because every woman I wind up even remotely attracted to turns out to be a lesbian.

  • Wait... y'all hate men? That's news to me. The worst I've seen here is the ocasional lesbian "men eww, girl pretty" meme.

  • I've never actually heard femcel used outside of comms like this one.

If anything, the only derogatory term I've heard for refering to misandrist permanently single women is "legbeard".

  • So smooth

  • Everyone thinks Ihave the tism but jokes on them, I've never been assessed for it.

  • To be fair, I don't think I've ever actually bought a space heater. I just get them from places and they're always from the early 2000s at best. The ones I've worked on usually only have a fuse in them as far as safety features go. I'm glad new ones are more safe though because they used to be deathtraps.

  • It you're using a relay to turn it on and off then just put like a 90F furnace high limit switch on the air inlet side of the heater and run the control signal for the relay through that high limit switch. That way if the air going into the space heater gets too hot from the room getting too hot or the area around the heater gets too hot from the fan failing, it'll shut off. Also furnace safeties are cheap, easy to find, and already designed to fail open circuit for safety.
