Sure he’s easy enough to manipulate for certain people, but it’s still not the same as those people being directly in charge themselves. Especially because there’s multiple different groups all manipulating him at the same time.
Not that I’d want the people behind the manipulation to be in charge either…
I don’t know… I find it quite intimidating that there’s a bunch of power in the hands of a psychopath with dementia and emotional self-regulation abilities worse than the average toddler.
I highly recommend Mint! Install is smooth and easy and it just does what it should. I haven’t had to touch the terminal a single time in the last year since my switch.
Good. I also read a bit more into it and while I’m not located in the UK apparently there is a specific extension to the law that also includes drawings and “collage” type edits. It doesn’t mention AI yet but surely this should count.
RIP my search history. But I’m glad we don’t need to wait for the law to catch up (in some places). Now all we have to do is scream from the rooftops that the laws need to be applied. Or even better: sue someone.
The thing is though… is it actually CSM according to the law if there is no real child involved along the way? At least some countries might need a law change first before tackling this.
Edit: I checked the local law where I’m located and it’s “images or videos depicting a minor during a sexual act”. I’d argue these AI generated images aren’t of minors because they don’t exist. We probably need new laws first unless it’s provable that the images represent a specific real life minor.
The combination of shadow banning on Reddit and the Reddit right wing platform wide rule enforcement shift that happened about a year and a bit ago.
They already made a bunch of decisions earlier that I also really disagreed with, but at some point it was just too much. I still miss the super niche crafting communities. There aren’t enough crafters on Lemmy to go full niche like that, even if I made them myself.
Yes, but whose definition of antisemitism are they using and who are they polling. Because the Zionist definition of antisemitism would include anyone who is against the current genocide even if they have no particular opinion on Jews in general. An additional problem is that the Zionist lobbies are really strong in many western countries. Just because something originates in the UK doesn’t make it inherently trustworthy or unbiased
I’m sure lots of people understand that not all Jews are Zionists. However I’m also sure that it doesn’t help that Zionist propaganda is literally conflating the two. Surely some people must be duped by that. Sadly I’m really doubting the existence of independent unbiased sources that measure the actual effect.
It’s really difficult to check on this, but it wouldn’t surprise me if antisemitism is actually increasing. The thing is that the zionists are screaming from the rooftops that anything anti-Israeli government is antisemitism. They are watering down the term to the point of being meaningless. I can’t imagine where to even start on finding data on real antisemitism at this point. If anyone is aware of a trustworthy source I’m all ears.
Nope, it’s Windows 11 only and they’ve locked down a bunch of settings, including turning off Copilot. I’m also not allowed to work with anything but official Microsoft apps. All because the company has a deal with Microsoft where they “guarantee” that it’s all safe and secure.
It’s a European company and they just don’t care to change at all.
And don’t forget that the Dutch digital ID was outsourced to a Dutch company that was now bought by a US company. The Dutch way for the government to digitally identify Dutch citizens is about to be in US hands.
As a cis female I never considered going for a traditionally male name. I do however have a gender neutral name I go by in certain circles. I also used to have a gender neutral account for online gaming.
It only released onto the AppStore 3 days ago. I’d argue they deserve some time to get it right.
