I see so much through this person's perspective, not because they can tell me anything, but because I'm forced to be concerned for this friend every single day. I have been backing off the experimenting (with posting from mastodon) as it's sort of a crap shoot how it will turn out. Direct posting to piefed is the cleanest result with more features than elsewhere in the lemmyverse so far.
Sometimes, when I post from my mastodon account, piefed.social automatically adds a bracketed tag to the title [Microblog]. Another user told me about this at one point. If I tag a community, it will create a new post there. I can also respond to comments on the post, as long as I remember to always include a community tag.

You're right. I deleted a comment I wrote earlier because I thought I read that wrong but yep, that is across states, not per states. Yeah, the numbers are just half-ass bullshit. Ineffective by design. It's how he approached building the wall. What they did was a con job, poorly implemented, failing by definition, the work of charlatans.
The cost of things. He will bankrupt his own craven ambitions, just like everything else he ever touches. There are already issues along these lines such as he's spreading National Guard budgets thin, etc. He just doesn't have the resources he thinks he has. There isn't a bottomless fund. He overplays his hand on this in every venture.
