You should be able to go back to the old assistant:
It should be in your Google app settings under Gemini settings > 'assistants from google’ and toggle back to the old assistant.
For how long this will remain doable I don't know.
I was ~22. Overheard an older woman (pushing 60's) at work pretty loudly talk on the phone with an assumed friend about an in-depth discussion of a circus/acrobatics themed sex party they were planning to attend and the rave reviews from the friend having attended it previously. This was an open air office space. There were also 5 other people within the room, separated by clothy cubicle dividers.
That is all to say; I wish all I heard that day was cheating talking instead. I also started wearing headphones pretty religiously after that.
