If that is the argument, it is a pretty damning rebuke of a UBI.
Someone needs to work for housing and food to exist. If a UBI causes everyone to not work (including those producing food, etc), there will very quickly not be food and other necissities.

Then when Russia invaded Ukraine for the second time, what did Germany do? Well, they did they only thing they could do as they setup no alternative plan: they shoveled money into Russia's coffers, funding their invasion of Ukraine. Took them years to fix this issue.

The response to these incursions are to give Ukraine the capabilities to destroy Russian war production. Upset by Russian drone incursions into NATO countries? Give Ukraine long-range cruise missiles and let them blow up Russian drone factories. Russia understands strength, the course of action is to respond with strength.
Making the war of conquest harder for the invader and having weaker ties with the country prosecuting said war of conquest. I'm not hearing a downside.
All of the “hostages” are really prisoners of war, everyone currently in Hamas captivity was an active duty IDF soldier captured from military bases in Israel or taken captive while in Gaza as they were committing genocide.
In my case, the mental math trick suggestion (make it 10 + 5) was intended as a way to build a skill using the provided, easy example. That type of mental math can be applied to much larger numbers, particularly when combined with other mental math tricks.
