  • You know, I can't remember any toothpaste with that warning. So, win one for us I guess! ;p

  • If the labels don't have some type of ranking system, then they are pointless. A great example being the California cancer labels that are on fucking everything. It's impossible to use them to gauge risk, because everything you buy causes cancer in California.

  • A bunch of the stuff I buy has CA cancer warnings on it. When you start putting the warnings on common things, it makes the warnings meaningless...

Do any of the things I buy have a notable chance to cause caner? I have no fucking clue, because everything causes cancer in California.

  • They also bring old games back so they work on modern computers. Like Breath of Fire IV.

  • This is the way. Let's them build on existing work and goodwill, while making a solid product people want.

  • Yeah, I can confirm Heroic works well on Linux. Just finished up my GOG-purchased Silksong play-through this week. :)

  • With the exception of pots and pans, which take-up too much dishwasher space, if it can't survive in the dishwasher, I don't want it anyway. Run it through and if it breaks it breaks!

  • The nice thing about cast iron is, even if you fuck up the pan pretty good, you can always re-season it and it's good to go.

Hell, even a the shittiest, oldest, rustiest cast iron pan is fine. Sand off the rust, and re-season!

  • Especially if these pears are shipped by sea. Then it’s even worse.

Shipping via sea is the cheapest and least greenhouse gas producing way to ship things. With the only exception being pipes, which are significantly better than ships on both fronts. However, we shouldn't be shipping peaches via pipe. ;p

  • please don’t mention Heroic or Lutris because they barely work either

Odd, been enjoying Silksong and earlier Baldur's Gate 3 via Heroic (GOG) and it just works on Linux. Not sure what the 'barely works' part you are talking about is. Hell, half the games I buy are through GOG now. Only one I had to do anything for is Breath of Fire IV, which isn't even offered on Steam...

  • I'm all for this. Game exclusivity prevents many from enjoying them.

  • GOG is doing wonders for the later as well. Just recently enjoyed a run of Breath of Fire IV. :)

  • Luckily, there are half a dozen invaders who won't be doing much invading today.

  • Great news!

  • Unironically, yes. Keep the kernel-level anti-cheat shit off my computer.

  • Good news, you can download and run Microsoft Teams in Linux. I have no clue why you would want to do this, but you can!

  • I don’t know a single person that “advocates for illegal aliens to resist”.

Plenty of people advocate for just that. And it is a major reason Republicans have been beating the deportation drum. It is so, so damn easy for them to point to those people and get votes.

Edit: I enjoy how people are up and down this thread saying they are that person OP said they never see, yet when I point this out, everyone reverts to acting like these people don't exist. You can't have it both ways.
