Strictly-typed languages are the BEST for learning programming. I also like Java for it because there's a difference between int and Integer (forcing you to learn about objects)
I can only speak from my own experience, but I've been cut off by cyclists (when I had the green light and they had a red) multiple times. A small handful of those I almost had to floor my brakes. Once there was a child on the back of the bicycle
I hold a significant amount of hatred for that parent. I could have killed that child due ONLY to the parents negligence
How would it work if it's not that large, though? They could only sell sunlight to people who are within the target radius, but that would be very temporary
I didn't mean to be presumptive or interrogative. I meant to just include a second part if (and only if) it was relevant. I see now how it can easily come across that way
Would you be able to further explain the implication you mentioned? I don't understand how you got there. I don't mean to say you're wrong or anything. I just don't get the connection
In the past 3 days I've been downvoted for commenting that gay people can adopt babies (in 196 for that matter) and asking why a news article about a bridge seemed to have one photo with a concrete floor and one with a wood floor. I commented asking why I was getting downvoted and someone told me it's because I said it's two different bridges (which I most certainly didn't say) and someone else was sarcastic and rude
People on Lemmy are proving to get more toxic as time goes on. I'm considering going back to reddit more and more. Sure, the place is horrible, but I don't feel bad about myself when I feel brave enough to comment
Edit: Can somebody who's downvoting me please tell me what I said that was wrong? I really just want to know
Edit 3: I know nobody here is going to miss me, but I'm going to block this community and I feel it's fair for me to get to explain why. I've frequented this community since I came from reddit and the comments always come across as "us vs them" to the point of hostility toward each other. It's really not kind or welcoming. I hope you all have a nice day and find that feeling of welcomeness that I was looking for
Edit 2: Are people just angry? I ask a genuine question and get two snide remarks as answers. Lemmy is proving to be NO better than reddit
Is it just me or does the bridge on the left look like it has concrete flooring? If so, why didn't they just get two pictures of the actual affected bridge?
Edit: please don't just downvote me. I'm asking a question because I don't know the answer
It looks like a muzzle. I know a few folks who need this (gamer or not)
