  • That doesn't make them wrong, it just proves the companies are even worse than was originally implied cause they do this same scumfuckery all over the place. Congratulations, you played yourself.

  • There was a time long ago when Dell computers had a great reputation for performance and longevity as you describe, and their support systems were the envy of the computing world. It would be great to see a return to that business model, though I wouldn't put money on it. It's still good to see literally any company point out that, hey, the universal benefit of AI as it's being sold to us today seems like a fantasy, and we have a lot of evidence now to support that beyond niche applications, it's not saving any element of society. Also maybe it's good to listen to consumers, actually... 9/10 CEOs hate this one trick...

  • Well put all around, and in response to your final point, I'm really not sure. I want to say this is the value of public education, but I don't recall a terribly strong effort to educate people in common sense and media literacy so as to not be manipulated so easily, and end up voting against our own best interests back when I was in the system. Still, I had access to better education than most young people do today.

I think that lackluster regulation of media really is failing us too, since any billionaire can just buy up a large organization and dictate what it will and will not report on, and how it aims to persuade people in out society. All of this requires rooting out apathy and corruption in our governing public servants, and strengthening regulation, and every day I see more of the exact opposite of that. It's hard to tell what the endpoint is that's going to force a turn-around, if such a thing even exists beyond a systemic collapse that strips the power to manipulate the systems of governance from the ultra-rich.

Generally that means terrible suffering for all, and I'd much rather see a better path, like, oh I don't know, massive taxation of enormous and excessive private wealth. Until I see politicians willing to take meaningful actions to resist and confront oligarchy, and a general public developing more self-awareness, I'll continue to believe that outcome seems like a pipe dream.

  • One could theorize that the poop particles expelled with the fart are better trapped in the moisture in the air, so as you breathe in the very humid air, and consequently your own poop particles, the sensory elements in your nose and sinus have an easier time detecting them. This is partly owing to how the moisture also makes them more likely to stick to surfaces inside your body as they travel your airways on the journey to your lungs, where your poop particles may end up. Hope this helps.

  • If the Canadian government were real it would exact punishing fines on the company's Canadian held assets in response to this. And I don't mean cost of business fees, I mean hurtful costs, because these giant fucking companies seriously damage Canadian lives when they just rugpull the labour after making massive profits of Canadian operations. There is no justifiable reason to side with Ubisoft or their scumsucking management here.

  • Dude, I'm gettin a Dell.

  • Boy, that company should probably fire the CEO, what with him forcing it to commit suicide.

  • They didn't dodge anything, they capitulated to be spared from tariffs. They sold out their people to import Republican politics and policy, American corporate interests, and committed to destabilizing Canadian solidarity and security. Their leadership expects favourable treatment when the US scales up its annexation offensive and economic attacks, which they won't get even after all the concessions. Average Canadians will suffer either way, and the leadership is definitionally traitorous to Canada in its interests and needs to be called out for such loudly.

  • I saw a movie 2 days ago, it cost 34 dollars for 2 tickets and was preceeded by over 25 minutes straight of ads before any trailers. Leo is completely out of touch, and I don't think anybody asked him for his fucking opinion on this in the first place.

  • Unironically though.

  • If you're on facebook you deserve what you get, and also are addicted to whatever abuse you perceive that as.

  • This is an ignorant take in that it doesn't in any way address the emotional benefits of having animals in your living space, or offer any justification for why the costs that are asserted could be worth accepting, or the fact that plenty of animals adapt well to smaller spaces. Don't like cleaning fur? Get short haired animals. Kids need training too, and plenty of human adults have no idea how to properly clean up after themselves. If you don't like animals that's fine, but don't try to perscribe your needs onto others based solely on these grounds, you can just say I don't like pets and that's acceptable.

  • I'm so fucking tired of CEOs and their shit-ass ideas

  • I fully agree, this should be a mainstream topic and if more everyday people were aware and understood it, they would want answers and reform.

  • Canada? You mean the largely unpopular and psychotic leadership of a single Canadian province? One who has many members actively in the process of being recalled by their constituents? That Canada? What is this trash source and where do they get their funding?

  • Scott Bessent recently proclaimed himself a farmer in an interview based on the assertion that owning agriculture interests makes you a farmer. Think of this when you hear about bailouts to farmers* intended to put out the fire started by tRump's own tariffs which crippled American access to foreign markets. Everything according to plan for the oligarchy, and the small folk will still vote for this.

    • offers exclusive to agro-conglomerates that will already be buying up the land and interests of the remaining and failing small and family farmers across the country.
